Please read what I originally wrote again. I was happy, I was optimistic, I DID think we were going to win. But the substitution really gutted me and having watched bloody thousands of Saints games, be it glass half empty or whatever, I knew we had probably blown it there and then. I was sadly, right. I bloody wish I had been wrong!

and if we had won, no I wouldn't have been on this forum right now. I'd still be drinking & celebrating! In fact, think I might crack open the Absinthe to clear the reality that is effecting me to be here now.

There was a bunch of about 30 or 40 seats next to each other. I wondered if a coach had broken down or something.

 

It was all about getting the trophy and didn't get it in the end. The fact that we were the better team and that we were robbed by a scandalous mistake by the linesman, it not really any consolation to me at all.

 

I believe a train broke down, but 30-40 does sound like a coach. My coach broke down on way to Cardiff...though we just made it in a replacement. Odd seats can be easily explained by illness/family matters.....bound to happen in a large crowd.

 

But you didn't know anything of the sort. Sure, we were all puzzled by the substitution of Gabbiadini, just like we were all puzzled at Anfield when Claude brought on Sims just as we needed to see the game out. That one worked out pretty well as I recall. We have no idea why Puel brought on Long for Gabbiadini (though probably something to do with wanting Shane's pace on the break), and we have no idea whether it would have worked because in the end the game was lost at the other end of the pitch.

All this "I knew, I was right" is only in your head. Nothing happened on the pitch to prove either you or Puel right, but there is probably a reason why he is Saints manager and you are not.

 

I was 15 minutes late as someone decided to apply the front of their BMW to the central reservation on the A2 near Lewisham about 10 minutes from my car parking space in North Greenwich and the fuzz shutting the road. This is after successfully getting to the airport, flying home from Prague, getting through security, picking up the car and driving round the traffic on the M25! I was standing in the block entrance when Gabbys 'offside' goal went in.

 

Well, duh.

Since when is an opinion any proof of right or wrong. Think you seem to struggle with this concept of people using a forum such as this to state their opinion and feelings.

 

One of the good things about living in London; most of the natives do at least support a London team. And every single one of the Arsenal, Chelsea, and even Spurs fans I know wanted us to win yesterday.
