Almost should be exempt from criticism this season. The guy has been my POTS by a fair way - amazing consistency of class and effort.
I used to slate him like a jilted ex...but now he's for me one of the most dynamic full backs in the world
What a joy to watch totally dominated the first half and deserved the scoreline but shows how weird football is if Hugo hadn't made that save stoke could have been undeservedly still in the game
So will all those who were moaning about the unchanged side Apologise! Noting the subtle changes to the formation which transformed both Davies and Dier Now stop moaning you miserable bastards.
What do you guys think of our new approach to allow Jan and Toby free reign to maraud forwards with the ball? We saw it on Thursday and there has been even more of it today. Tactically, it has almost left us caught out at the back on a number of occasions and I definitely wouldn't want to see it against better opposition. But against opposition that defends deep and in numbers, it certainly is an interesting approach to throw them off balance and give us an extra man in central areas.
Except the fact that Crouchy was a yard offside..... Another **** decision that in different circumstances could have proved costly
I think it shows good managerial awareness and also points to the complete irrelevance of ties and shaving.
Its tactical? I thought Jan was just playing like he used to when he first joined us...remember how he played in his first season? Goal hungry.
Agreed, although we should be getting Trippier on asap as poor Kyle looks bloody nakered from all that running on Thurs!
It was most important that we dealt with the big hole left by Rose and this I think is what it's about.
