I finished my footballing career in goal for a good Vets team on Saturdays and a reasonably good Sunday League team on Sunday mornings ....... a good but not Semi Pro standard! .......................... I would have been really really angry with myself if I had let in a goal like Rudd did against Oxford!!!!!

Bring back Phillips for rest of season and tell him that next season he will be our #1 keeper.

I will be there today as Duchatelet is only getting a fiver & there is nothing organised in terms of protests.

In recent seasons we have had 21,000-25,000 for the "fiver" games.

I doubt there will be 10,000 there today.

I had to stop playing when I smashed up my knee during a game <cry> and yes I did like a pie and a pint post match <laugh> ..... I did have my own version of 'Piegate' but mine involved a camera in the shower area after a game and an 'Elephant in the room' <whistle>

Listening to KR, it seems he's given up on this season. He talks about having very good players, but his body language suggests he doesn't believe it. He talks about putting things right in the summer, but doesn't add "If I don't get sacked first". He's also talking about the next Ademola Lookman, but the last forward with that sort of ability was Robert Lee, what, 25-30 years ago. He's a different man to the brash confident young man who took over, and doesn't inspire confidence.

Bullsh1t only gets you so far.

Look in the Form Book for the last 3 years - only Robinson & the simpletons on ITTV think that things will actually get better this summer.

    Why would they ?

But this is the guy who was raving about our team not two months ago. Apart from Aribo and Konsa, we are runnng out of family jewels to sell (Nice one Murray, I still remember you saying we wouldn't have to).
On to today, a keep thinking that as an average team in an average leage, it's about time the law of averages awarded us a win. So I'll go for a 2-0 defeat.

Just **** off Roland and take Meire, Keohane, Robinson with you. Losing at home to Bury is unacceptable.

    That was really, really bad.

Outplayed and out passed on our own turf by a lowly Bury side. But for a couple of good saves by Rudd in the second half, it would have been worse.

The writing was on the wall when our team was announced - it was almost surreal. Novak playing up front on his own - f*ck me, he was bad today. Byrne at full back - ditto, awful. Magennis dropped and Ricky Holmes captain ?? Square pegs in round holes, with a performance that matched it. No semblance of a game plan or tactics. Robinson's team plays as he speaks- a rushed and muddled jumble of rubbish from start to finish. A special mention today to 2 of his signings who were spectacularly bad - Forster-Caskey and Page. I am afraid the latter looks and plays like what he is, a 20 year old 80 grand player. He is poor. It is coming to something when the crowd claps Crofts when he comes on.

Dark times. The worst Charlton side I have seen in 35 years. Only the simpletons on ITTV and Robinson didn't see it coming - the sh1te on the pitch is a direct result of 6 asset stripping transfer windows.

I thought we started putting in a bit of effort with 5 minutes to go, maybe the players were a bit apprehensive about their reception on the way out. The fact that they put Bury under pressure and nearly equalised through Tex showed how much we the fans are being short-changed. Our only decent move of the game was in stoppage time. I'd exempt Holmes and Mavadidi, who I thought tried their best, although I don't know where Holmes was supposed to be playing in the first half. Credit to Bury- they lacked any real quality, but played as a team and defended solidly. It's all they had to do, really.

Cracking post from one brain cell Colin. He has outdone himself for total bollocks.

Let's get one thing straight today was much better performance then Tuesday we deserved something out of the game today and to be honest the players did not deserve being booed of today that was disgraceful...
We lined with a very young midfield which enabled us better movement and more energy ... and we started very brightly with some decent football ... Mr Kettle was the ref today how many people remember him Grant Basey one of the worst tackles ever seen was unpunished by a foul or card by Kettle, Basey never recovered from the injury .
He was soon in action when Bury scored the ball was played back from an offside position but was allowed to stand ... he was going to be involved again in another Basey type incident later.... we recovered still the only team who wanted to play and Novak was so unlucky with a header of the bar with keeper beaten . Bauer had the ball in the net which was disallowed as well
Then our injury luck struck again losing both Bauer and Caskey ... but we kept battling and trying to get back another Novak header brought a Gordon Banks type save from the keeper who made s decent save from Tony Watt and SM somehow saw a shot curl away at the last min when supporters were already celebrating a goal
Then Novak had s great chance but the ball fizzed across by Holmes seemed to hit him more then him heading it

Back to Mr Kettle SM broke into the box rode a tackle but the second one got him ... SM lay badly injured if the pitch and had to be stretched off ... again Mr Kettle waved play on no pen again and no booking for any player plus it left us with 10 men for last 10 mins

Once again like Tuesday and at Wimbledon and at Oldham we had a blatant pen not given

We lost Tuesday but today a diff day the young boys in the team need to be encouraged not booed ... the team put in s much better shift today , yes it's still not 100% perfect but we know why and that will be sorted out in the summer , Also instead of enjoying playing at home now it's not .. no surprise we are far better away then at home .. to much pressure on then one bad thing and people are on their backs .... the players are terrified of making mistakes and that causes mistakes .. support the team today they deserved it
    Players Ratings
Rudd 7 made one excellent save
Bryne 8 MOM had an excellent game considering he got booked early on
Page 6 like Tuesday good and bad
Jorge T 6 better today but had little to mark
Bauer 6 another injury victim and s goal disallowed
    Aribo 7
    Konsa 7
    Caskey 6 pulled hamstring
Holmes 6 captain for the day
SM 5 not his best game but should have had a pen before being stretched off
Novak 6 unlucky not to get a hat trick today worked hard up front then dropped back to mid because of injuries

    Subs
    Crofts 6
Watt 5 fans calling for him WHY
    Magennis 6

I'll have some of whatever he's on. Maybe he wants a job writing KR's post-match interview.

Do you know what really makes me want to vomit? When apologists use the term 'core actors'.

Anyone who uses Roland's words as some sort of mantra needs to be stuffed into a barrel full of broken glass and dog turds and rolled down a big hill.

TWWW's first touch summed him up- a delightful little chip over an opponents head, trapped the ball, followed by a little dink straight to an unmarked opponent in a dangerous position. I really can't see where our next goal is coming from. A relegation battle looms. My next game is at Sheffield, God knows what they'll do to us.

Two wins will ensure keeping away from a relegation battle, but the question is when we get them.

Shrewsbury are fighting for their lives and it would not surprise me if they get three points then we have another away game at Northampton.

I still think we will stay up....just.
