if we fluff our few opening games (including sunderland) and haven't brought anyone decent in to replace all the players we've sold I think there will be some angry fans protesting outside St James' on a regular basis...until kevin keegan is brought back. I agree with the fans moving the goalposts regarding Ashley though, can't believe people don't just see him for what he is.
Don't worry you won't be relegated there is at least 6 clubs worse than you. Everton could also be in and around you seeing as they haven't got a pot to piss in,and they couldn't afford the £150,000 fee for Andy Lonergan. Betty Hotpots son aka Bill Kenwright is skint.
Err what? Just read through our board and you'll realise what you just said was a load of rubbish. Yeah, we're not passionate because we aren't stirring a load of **** before the season even starts knowing we have an owner that wont get out the club no matter what we do. We get behind the team, no need to cause unnecessary disruption when FCB doesn't give two ****s.
And I guess most people are bitter about Carroll due to the fact ever since he joined Liverpool he's the best thing since sliced bread. It's even happening to Nolan and he moved down a league!
Personally I've a soft spot for Newcastle. We have a few connections and not just Kenny and Kev. Theres: Barney. John Barnes. Ian Rush. Terry Mac Beardo. Mark Lawrenson worked for you. Judas. Albert Stubbins.
Is that what people are tell Geordie fans, cause all we hear about Carroll since joining us (from Rival fans, Macs and Chavs) is that he's a lumbering donkey and he'll fail. Nice to hear that rivals will say anything to wum.
The difference between Hicks and Gillet to Ashley is Hicks and Gillet actually had the moral standards to sell up, even if it took some convincing. But Ashley is a business man, he doesn't give two ****s what we do as long as the cash flow comes in. Anti Ashley protesters can receive club bans if they protest within the grounds. The only real thing that would work is not to buy tickets but considering a large percentage are ST holders that wouldn't work and there's always someone to fill your seat. There's also the argument of getting behind your team instead of aggravating things.
Absolute and utter rubbish! Unless you, as supporters are prepared to stop buying tickets, shirts etc then you are conieving with Ashley. Unless you are prepared to demonstrate that you will cut-off the income-strem. Unless you are preapred to badger the hell out of the institutions that provide financial services then you are just bleating sheep. BTW it is the club that you should be supporting. Players (the team) are professional, they come and they go.
I'm talking media wise, you've gotta admit that his renown has suddenly boosted since he joined you. Also that some of your fans (not all) are extremely overrating him. I had a scouse friend of mine saying he'll score 20+ goals next season and he was deadly serious. When I asked why he didn't score as much for us he said it's because he'll be in a better team...
That's my frame of mind anyway. There have been loads of planned boycotts but they've never came to fruition, I think it's just the Geordie mindset that they cant survive without football.
Wrong, the owners sold up because their other businesses were going bust and they released we were no longer profitable to them.
MUFC? Like I said, I don't know if our fans are just lazy, loyal or clueless but I think we've just took to the option of waiting how the season goes. We were in heap loads of debt after all.
