Very happy with this signing. All this talk of Maynard coming means I'm going to spend the next hour hitting refresh on the Saints OS. I have to admit, I was a little worried about the sort of player Adkins might bring in this summer (mostly because of the N'Guessan loan deal and purchasing forte, although, the latter seems to pop up with a goal when he plays and could earn us vital points this season) but I'm glad it is completely unjustified. Saints have real quality.. very exciting!

IMO we must have had some encouragment from NM agent to put 3 bids on the table in a week!!! i think if u make a bid we will make a bid and both will be accepted. then its just up to him, stay south, or come to rich foes.
If we get him it will a great purchase showing ambition. If Leicester get him he will be vastly over priced and you'll have more money than sense. Such is the fickleness of the average football fan.
whats great is at the start of the new season, i.e pre-season a lot of people were getting worried why we havent signed anyone and if Adkins could handle a bigger budget and attract names to Southampton. Well, the three players we have signed are all players who can make an impact straight away. Two of the players have played in the Premiership and come with a stack full of Championship appearances!! Mr De Ridder seems to be one of those undiscovered coups who will excite the supporters!! I am so far very impressed with how the club have acted in signing these players and the way they have integrated them into the team. I have never felt so excited to be a Saints supporter and long may it continue!!

Wrong there feller, we don't do crying anymore, that ended when Markus Liebherr took over, we are also sporting losers but that doesn't happen very much in the important games, so I am not sure if that might change.

He's on about Joseph Mills, Matt's brother. He's now our 4th (or even 5t) choice LB with this signing.
