Who would we like to see as the new captain? It can't be Dawson ge is too quiet I can't be the only one that saw Harper doing his job all game, Harper was always talking and was the first one to ask the ref about decisions. We seem to be agreed it can't be a loan player and it can't be our vice captain he is always on the bench. I possibly would go for Koren but as said Harper looked to be doing a decent job to me.
why carnt it go to an on loan player???gerrard looks a natural leader to me always barkin orders an the kind of player who will put his head were others wont plus if he is made skipper it may work in our favour to convince him to sign in the summer
I agree that if we get Gerrard on a perminant basis, then he should be the man to take the armband. Until then I feel Dawson is the only man we can give it to.
I get the feeling that giving it to someone who will be here longer then one season is best and if Gerrard is gonna stay he would be a good option
Why? I'm hoping we sign Jonathon Greening as he's very good, and he'd be captain material. Why would I be joking? :S
Harper for me plays every game and plays in the middle of the park bossing everyone around and is the detirmend type of player i like as my captain to lead by example even if you are not the most skillful
Gerrard is looking the business at the minute but i think a decent captain has to be in the midfield so he can overlook the attackers as well as the defence. Unfortunately no-one there fits the description of a leader, at least not in the Ashbee mould. So it's Gerrard for me.
Of the current Crop would like to see Koran, but playing in the middle of the park to influence the team. Next season if signed on a perm think it could be Gerrard!
