I take it you mean the mini-huns? He played for Hearts not Rangers. I met him once. He was a decent bloke. Like most gay men you could have chatted to him for half 'n' hour and never guessed he was gay. Just an ordinary bloke. It was shameful what happened to him
Rugby it took one guy to show the strength of character to do it and it became a non issue very fast. Sword'll tell you that the GAA fans already knew and didn't particularly give a ****.
I stand corrected, I thought it was the full fat ones, not the diet ones. Wasn't there some other stories kicking about around the time of his suicide? Involving other footballers?
Justin Fashanu was gay and played for Hearts and Airdrie. That's like a gay footballer playing in England for Leeds and Millwall. When opposition crowds chanted about his sexuality, he would turn and smack his own arse at them He got my respect when he did that to the jungle (in an Airdrie strip as well) Mon the nufters
Utter bullshit. Other than Justin Fashanu (which was a long time ago) Homosexuals in sport have had nothing but support on coming out. The trouble is that most of them seem to believe this is not the case and hide it, they peddle the myth it is unacceptable themselves. Never in recent times has a sportsman coming out as gay ever effected his earnings or potential (quite the opposite in some cases), the worst that happens is that he gets stick for it from opposing fans, but then he would get the same amount of stick if he was ginger (Neil Lennon) or had a bad haircut (Jason Lee) or missed a penalty (Gareth Southgate) or was just a big-mouthed knob (Robbie Savage). Rugby is the obvious example, some people thought it would be huge for a top player to be gay but when Gareth Thomas came out other than the usual voices from the LGBT community the collective reaction of rugby fans was "Ok, so what?". Perhaps if people had the guts to come out instead of hiding behind the "oh they are all intolerant of me" bullshit they might find acceptance comes far more easily than they fear.
entirely possible. I'll refrain from turning this into a Lennon-a-thon. There is another comedy poster floating about the place as well. He thinks he is a genius. It is great entertainment.
Yet again Tina shows her shocking lack of knowledge on football.................................which begs the question WHY IS SHE ON HERE?! This isn't Match.com or Dial-A-Date FFS
