I went to see the COUM Transmissions exhibition at Humber Street Gallery today. Amongst other things there is a 10 to 15 minute film including a fair amount of Hull in the early 1970s. Its well worth a visit.
Cannon & Ball was good. Ended up with inlaws too. Spoke to someone else at Tuffers last night, he really enjoyed it too Doing some proper art on Sunday at Uni
Steve White was working with C&B last week he was singing their praises too. I remember my old Gran seeing them, must have been late 70s, early 80s & her being disappointed because they "weren't like they were on the telly, they swore".
Yeah I saw Whitey's photo with them Actually they didn't swear much, but they were very funny in a classic double act sort of a way Saw them in panto (oh yes we did...although that autocorrected to 'panties' which made me wince!) a few years ago and they were hilarious in that too
Ye I saw them in panto they were great. Also went to brid spa years ago to see them in the summer season And bobby was on the same plane coming home from holiday last year. Lovely fella. His daiughters nice too...
