I believe this was written not as a tender love-song, but as a sort of stalking threat to an ex-partner. So I've read, anyway. Love the song, but feel slightly less than joyful when I hear it!

In 79/80 l came home to find Cap Sensible in the back living room . He was a mate of my sister who went to Coloma convent school in Shirley. He was with his German girlfriend quite plain if I remember. He l talked about rabbits for hours as he was obsessed with them . I left them to it , as I was into Bowie/Roxy etc . He was a very decent bloke .
I was in the Wag club soho in 82/83 ?chatting with Martin Kemp, Shirley from Wham , Yog (G Michael ) Boy George. I met Hazel for the 1 and only time , her pop career had just come to an end but she was an angel . So pleasent, engaging and warm . Sorry about the name dropping. I was in quite a few videos at the time butt less said .
