The only 10 reasons that will make 90% of Newcastle fans happy is

    1. If we get Keegan back
    2. If we get Keegan back
    3. If we get Keegan back
    4. If we get Keegan back
    5. If we get Keegan back
    6. If we get Keegan back
    7. If we get Keegan back
    8. If we get Keegan back
    9. If we get Keegan back

    3. Money - we've got a decent budget to spend on new talent, the clubs in the black and we're one of only 4 (i think) Prem clubs to actually make money last season

    4. Villa - We're not Villa fans, we don't have to gather up our inbred sprogs and march down to the ground to protest against bringing in a manager who got our biggest rivals relegated last season.

    no... just no....

    1. Mike Ashley combusts in front of 52,000 fans when the static charge in his suit trousers sets off a chain reaction with the lipids in his fat.
    2. Llambias rushing to his aid is blown over the barrier and plunges to his death after Mike's methane in his bowels ignites and explodes.
    3. Mike's will is found bequeathing his entire estate to NUFC.
    4. Jelle Vossen is signed
    5. Dennis Wise is found speared through the anus on the Angel of the North
    6. Sunderland get sued and forced to close down for the name of their Stadium.
    7. Justin Beiber is found beheaded after claiming that Mohamed was a fan and showing a picture of him.
    8. Eden Hazard signs for NUFC
    9. Someone brings me a damn coffee!
    10. And some biscuits.

No to which? Both still hold true, we've brought in some quality and the club is still one of the few clubs not running at a loss. And unless I'm mistaken we're not Villa fans.

Could be on the cards after a few pints tonight <laugh> just bumped it because lots of people have reverted back to "we're doomed mentality" because we're selling a player we all knew was going. Am hoping to tip a few of them over the edge knowing that I'm on the lash tonight surrounded by buxom, nubile totty <laugh>

Which bit mate? I've stated you needed to bring a lot of players and you've brought in 9 or something. That's a lot of players.

    You forgot No 11.

I am a ****** who has been let out for the day.We are really up sh*t creek this season with all our half decent players wanting out. All our Sh*t players getting 5 year deals, our owner doing us for everything he can, Manager only here because he is a pal of the owner. And much, much worse than our local rivals who are putting together a good squad of players. I can only see relegation on the horizon.

Feel free to add No 12 (keep it clean)

    @Alfie

All of it really 'mate'; it's mainly that you're such a predictable apologist for everyhthing Mike Ashley does... from the outside looking in you and your ilk are part of the problem with Newcastle (not the problem but part of it). You do not have to spout inanities to support your club you know - some of your lads (who I'm betting are better fans than you anyway) manage to salt their passion with a sprinkling of irony and a heap of realism.

Obviously when these things happen to one's rivals there is an element of Schadenfreudre; so for me it has been somewhat entertaining but if I was a Newcastle fan I would find your relentless support of Ashley &co extremely irritating I'm sure.

Actually it's at the point now with Ashley where I've stopped getting a kick out of what he's doing to your club as I feel that there are way to many good fans who are being made unhappy - of course there are posters like yourself that breath some life into the glowing embers of my enjoyment.

I agree with a lot of this <ok>

I think realism is needed. Not pessimism, not optimism. Optimism breeds disappointment. Pessimism breeds a desire to fail, so you end up doing so. Realism breeds reality, and therefore happiness

Though you chose to ignore my comment that you needed to get players in and you have I will reposte. First off, your "mate", makes me think you haven't taken my comments towards you in the manner they were intended, I was simply stating my personal view, because you had several loan signins last season that there was a lot of rebuilding to be done at your club, granted these comments were made in June before you made any signings. You claim that "better" fans take what has happened with a pinch of salt and a sense of irony & realism then you totally missed the theme of my original post (though surely the 10th point regarding a collegue and her menial duties should have pointed you towards that).
Yours comments towards Ashley are interesting, we've got rid of players who didn't want to play for us beit for financial reasons or let's face it financial reasons.

Carroll - just signed a 5 year contract on improved deal and given his "want to stay for life as #9" before the bindippers offered him more money and he buggered off.
Nolan - wanted a pension, 5 yrs at £55K a week for a player that would have struggled to hold down a regular first team place this season let alone 4 years time.
Enrique - 1 year left on contract and stated ages ago he wanted European football, so he's moved to a club that doesn't have European football but strangely are offering more money.
Barton - wouldn't take the deal offered and would rather just slag people off than knuckle down and see out the last year of his contract then go to one of the top teams linning up for his signature.

We've replaced them with quality, young players, if that sounds like a bad idea then I beg to differ, it's sound financial thinking, we've had Fat Freddy doing his level best to drive this club into administration. Even fatter Mike at least isn't going to drive administration, instead he will build the club through bringing on those younger players into a sustainable club, on a sound financial footing that in time will be back in Europe though sound financial management.

Now **** off <laugh> sorry couldn't help it.

I know you cannot help it - that's why there is care in the community.

I'm glad at least you get a laugh out of it when you swear... you're such a card.
