Well its semi final day for the Chairboys and we are off to the latest home of the pests to take on the Sky Blues with Wembley calling but first we have to get over this hurdle against league one's basement dwellers who's only win this year has come in this competition against an U21 team in the 3rd round in the last round they got through on pens against another U21 team and their last league win came over 3 months ago but they do have an ex Chairboy in their ranks a certain Stuart Beavon who we know all about. Gaz will be without the services of Aaron Pierre who twisted his ankle against Pompey so there will be at least one change with big Will or maybe the BFG coming into the defence. We will be making the short journey to Coventry where hopefully we will find somewhere to have a pint before making our way to the Ricoh for a 7.30pm start and watching what I hope will be a good game and we avenge our only defeat in this competition a dead rubber in which we went 2-0 up and should have been out of sight before half time so hopefully at around 9.30pm tonight we will be looking forward to an April trip to Wembley
I didn't realise that beever was playing for them he was one of my favourite players when he was at Adams park always gave everything every game just hope he has an off night tonight.COYB
Sorry but i couldn't a toss about this piss pot cup as going for promotion is much more important. I understand that players want to play at Wembley but it could bugger up our chance of becoming a League 1 team next season. What would you prefer Promotion or winning a ****e cup? We have made a decent amount of money which is vital for a club like ours but if we lose in the final we will not get much more money so who cares?
I do. My family are all sat down here waiting for the ko and we will be delighted if they win and go to Wembley. 1 more match won't make any difference to our League position.
Didn't know it was on tv. What a bit of luck. I didn't see the benefit at first but the money has come in handy. I also think winning at Wembley would give the players a massive boast, as Ron says what do a couple more games matter, however every finger is crossed that we don't get any injuries.
No Gape, no Cowan Hall. Not happy. Our defence was all at sea in previous encounter. Can't see it ending well
Bean looks well off the pace. JJ got done by a great ball for the goal, should have been closing down Reid, who looks decent.
Not impressed. We look very disjointed and they are the better side. Might stop watching if they get a third. Shame Weston didn't put that away.
Bit of a dilemma for Gareth here with two players who need to be on the pitch carrying injuries. If they don't come on we're stuffed and if they do and can't last out, we're stuffed. I think he might take a gamble. But our defence is leaky. Coventry will score again without doubt
Not going to Wembley then when the competition really mattered could'nt manage to beat a team that have only won game in 90 minutes since Christmas & that was tonight. Still we did make some cash out of it.
Unlucky Chavboys! Outplayed by a Coventry side that can't buy a win just shows you have no chance of promotion. Can't wait to smash you mugs again a couple of weeks!
