Wow, his career really went places didn't it. I'll never forgive him for that shirt tug in the penalty area!
It says something about his career, when I misread the title as "Huddersfield" and was subsequently very surprised - but then realised it was "Hednesford" and thought that made sense!
WTF?? he aint half sunk low! how can he go from portugese primera liga and CCC to this? didnt we pay a mil for him?
Same goes for several players, when you think about it. The one that always springs to mind is Michael Ricketts. A genuinely good player; not a flash in the pan, or someone who was average, but in a lucky length of good form. And yet something happened to him [can't remember what it was] and bang, his confidence went and effectively his career with it. Not such a good example, but another player is our very own ex-Saint David Prutton. OK, he's with Sheffield Wednesday [when I last looked] in League One, but where has all that special potential gone..? If things had gone as planned for him, he should have been a top player by now, instead of rattling around at the end of various seasons, trying to find a club to take him on. Just thought of another one - Leandre Griffit. Loads of potential. Effectively, has gone nowhere. Must stop, I'm starting to think of several.
yeah, walcotts another who left here with huge potential and then just seemed to fade away. Ah well, the grass isn't always greener.
Burley signing for around £800k.....seemed to play better for us in midfield than CB which he was signed as....as mentioned will always be remembered for the stupid shirt pull which gave Derby there penalty in play off semi
Must be the longest shirt pull in history! I remember shouting 'Let go, lettt gooooo, PLEASE LEEEEEEET GOOOOOOO....!' but sadly the invitation was accepted, & along with the best OG, its now confined to history.
