He is certainly a slow burner, very similar to Thistlecrack but the way he travelled through his last 2 races showed he has that class.

On the other thread there was a mention of Airlie Beach for the Mares Novice - La Bague Au Roi is still unbeaten also and has done everything with ease so far. Hoping she goes for the race aswell.

I remember putting up West Approach for the Albert Bartlett on our preview night thread last year <yikes> - I think he was 100/1. Won't get that this time

Miles ahead of Douvan and Min?

He's either Pegasus or Ruby's well and truly on the wind up!

Douvan was the easiest winner of a Supreme I have seen, he tanked through it!

I'm laughing at the nonsense around the Mullins horses this year, as if you just have to decide which horse goes where and you have 10 festival winners <laugh>

I can see maybe Melon, VVM, Douvan winning, the rest is up in the air.

And Wholestone whose rated WA's inferior has a 2-0 head to head record with that one! You'd have to say West Approaches venture into open company last weekend has left him with a hugely inflated rating. (Least it shows Mr Tizzarrrdddd ain't trying to 'plot' him up for a handicap!)

Can see him having to make do with 5 maybe 6 Festival winners this year, the shame of it! Definitely hasn't the volume of 'bankers' as other years that's for sure. Personally I'd say he has two 'bankers', Douvan obviously and his selected one in the mares novice race, such is the abundance of talent he has in that particular division. Yorkhill wins whatever he wants too actually, so I make that three <laugh>

Douvan is the only banker in my opinion-
Just passing on what he said-Ruby does hate punters though so could be telling porkies again!

    Lol. Bullshit

Miles ahead of Douvan and Min. Two of the best NH horses on the last 5 years.

I took 10's about Melon on betfair a while ago but to think he's miles ahead of those two. May as well not bother running the Supreme.

I'm getting a right kicking in the nads for posting that ruby thumbs up lol.Obviously the whole Douvan comparison is abit extreme but I was just merely passing on what he told my mate even though it seems unrealistic. I think I'll stay silent on the Mullins info going forward!!!:emoticon-0175-drunk

Don't worry lads, we'll soon be having all the preview evenings. Especially looking forward to Patrick telling us horse xyz is so good he could win any of the novice hurdle races at the festival <ok>

I listened to the RP podcast previewing the Champion Chase last night. Not sure why because Douvan will win by as far as he likes and frighten off most of the competition into the Ryanair. Patrick Mullins did though reckon former Closutton inmate Tell Us More would be a reasonable place bet. He said he was one of the most frustrating horses they'd had and was far more talented than his form suggested. Obviously now moved on following the bother with Gigginstown. So 1/3 Douvan to win or 10/1 Tell Us More to place NRNB. Bearing in mind the sums I invest the latter would be my choice.

SkyBet have now gone NRNB on all races. If you were thinking on betting on the opening race on any day it may be worth waiting till the night before/ morning as the last couple of years SkyBet have offered money back as a free bet on all losers (up to £25)

The bumper is a race I've done well with the last few years and one I like at a big price is Western Ryder at 25/1.Ive watched his Ascot win again and he has a very impressive turn of foot and I can't understand why he is such a big price! He is entered in the Newbury bumper on Saturday so I'll be keeping a close eye on him and expect a decent run again.

5 more days till i find out if this was a decent bit of value or not. If he wins he will likely be single digits for the Supreme.

It's worth mentioning how awful the form of Supreme second favourite MOON RACER is working out. The second MIRSAALE who was beaten just over 2lengths has subsequently been beaten 64l, 26l and over 18l (in a class 4 race no less). Third behind Moon Racer was BALLYANDY who blatantly looks a 3 miler and we know the Champion Bumper form stinks the place out. The fourth has run and been beaten twice since. Twards Nichols horse could well be the one to take from the race in fact and as he's been targeted at the lucrative Betfair Hurdle I'm sure Nichols is pleased enough with his runs thus far, just need to hear him say it has no chance so we can all lump on for Saturday!

MOON RACERS price must be close to being the worst of the Festival so far in my view, can only assume it's the Pipes record of training Grade One winners keeping it so short...<whistle>

I think MOON RACER will be doing well to wrestle that mantle off NATIVE RIVER at present for worst price of the festival at the minute.............
