    Very true Matth. <ok>

Ignore HIAG, he is just bitter because little ol' Leicester beat them to the title.

(He's tried to ignore the fact that Arsenal finished closer, but he doesn't do reality)

  4. But, Matth, can you not see?

Sure, they were champions, but no one really respects them for it, because the season was a fluke. Whenever the subject is brought up in the future, there will always be someone who will say, "Yeah, but both Chelsea and United were in manager-turmoil, and both 'Pool and City grossly under-performed, and Spurs bottled it, etc..." There will always be a footnote, and excuse, to their achievement.

Plus, if they get relegated they will be forever remembered as the clown-club that fluked the title in one season only to be relegated back to where they came from (and belong) the very next season!

Who the **** would want that as an epitaph?

You called it a fluke wrongly though, as fluke intimates that it was luck, it wasn't they won the title on merit.

The idea that you're some sort of sooth sayer for predicting they'd do worse this season is laughable in it's idiocy. Of course they were never going to repeat that feat.

You didn't predict they'd be in relegation battle though numbnuts.

He also predicted that they would embarrass themselves in the Champions League, but seems to have conveniently glossed over the fact that they won their group.

Spurs on the other hand though .... <rofl>

You think because everybody that despises you must despise those who pity you enough converse with you. I quite like Sky he has a dry sense of humour and rolls with the punches unlike you.
    You are a sad Gimp.....:)

  9. "It is my very firm opinion that a top 4 finish this season will come at the cost of complete and utter humiliation next season, in both the CL and the Prem."
(HIAG, second post on this very thread, made on 17 January 2016)

Explain to me how getting relegated wouldn't be "utter humiliation," you muppet!

  12. Are you telling me that LCFC is not going to be utterly humiliated in the knock-out stage?

I'd say they were completely humiliated in their last game of the group stage. What was the scale of the loss - 5-0, wasn't it? I'd say that was humiliating.

In any event, we are talking about them fluking the Prem title. Do you admit that I correctly predicted that LCFC have been completely and utterly humiliated in the Prem this season - yes or no?

  14. Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has said the Foxes could be relegated if their "embarrassing" Premier League title defence continues.

I have to agree with the majority on this one. Sure you can fluke a few games, but you can't fluke a whole season. Plus the fact that they won it by 10 clear points too.

Ok, some of their football wasn't the prettiest, to say the least, but it worked. What's happened this season seens to be a combination of the loss of Kante ( who was vitally important in making an average defence looks far better than they were), an air of complacency, and now a complete loss of confidence.

Can Ranieri dig them out of this hole? I'm very much beginning to doubt it. It looks to me like a few arses need kicking there, and kicking hard. Is he the man to do It? No, imo.

You have to take everything in context Gimp if Leicester are to be humiliated in the knock out stages. How much bigger was yours for not qualifying from a much easier group...<laugh><laugh>

Oh yes I recall now that Poncetto rested key players for the game at Stamford Bridge. Remind us all how that panned out for you! Double utter humiliation

There's an irony there that you've patently missed Nigel.

Their last group game was a dead rubber, they'd already won their group.

Personally I'd say that the only English side who were humiliated in the CL this season, was Spurs mate <ok>

Good to see that both you and Spurlock can show some grace and recognise that Leicester won the league on Merit. It just shows how bitter HIAG still is about it.

As for them surviving this season, time will tell but at the moment they are in free fall. As I've said, a team that wins the league, doesn't suddenly turn to **** overnight, only an idiot would believe that. Leicester need to just get back to basics and do what they did well last season. They've got the quality in the squad to stay up, but they need to arrest the decline quickly.

I was expecting them to be at least 10th before the start of the season but I never expected them to be in a relegation battle though.
