Not seen anyone defending LJ? Just that given our run of games a wins a win. It's just another pointless thread from RR, and he only does these to wind people up.
Yeah completely agree. But as much as RR wants LJ gone, To say a win has ruined his weekend seems a bit harsh. I don't want LJ there but I don't drive an hour to struggle my arse off to park, pay a fair few quid, to wish us to lose. I doubt anyone does.
Ugly 1-0 win.2 poor sides,we were slightly better- Cotterell impressive and Taylor looks good- Too many players not looking interested.- Bailey Wright I thought did well At Half time, I said to the wife that if it were me, I would get controversial and take Tammy off and throw the front two on, and for goodness sake get Little off. We have asked an awful lot of Tammy this season and it wasn't working today.- I didn't think that he would- For me, bringing on 3 subs at once is either that the team is playing dreadful, or that the set up was tactically wrong. LJ got seriously booed taking Tammy off. Big cheer greeted Little leaving. Confirmed that he agreed with my choice of subs. It was brave, perhaps desperate and in the end perhaps he got lucky. In the end, we got 4 points this week. I said that if he did, he would be safe for now. I do fear the worst over the next 4 games. Following that is Burton at home. Another must win game
any win however lucky or scrappy is not to be sniffed at other than draws all todays games were by one goal !
You want us to play entertaining football, AND win our matches. But sometimes that is not possible. Sometimes you have to scrap in football. Sometimes pressure can make a graceful footballer like Tomlin for instance appear to hoof the thing like a donkey. We got three points. Be grateful
exactly where did I suggest it was a good game? of couse it was piss poor, but a win is a win,and no didn't go, went the sheff game but a cant afford the trip from London twice a week.
It's just as well we won - with Blackburn and Burton also winning - with the last kick of their respective games. Nobody's arse has been saved. It's just a relief to get a draw against a very good side followed by a win in a basement battle. It could have been much worse. We are still one result away from a relegation place. The pressure is firmly on.
"Not the man to take the club forward" blimey RRobin how many times have you said that, give me a pound for every time, I recon I could have a good holiday.
I told him before ... what is defiant about it? it .. d e f i n i t e l y is not defiant, he is being defiant in RR's book however by not slinging his hook..and going fishing for a few years
If you attended your view may have been altered. The performance level was nowhere, and that is nowhere near that v Wednesday. Slow bodies and minds. Lots of keeping shape and possession but it was pedestrian. If the bottom team in the Championship had gone in one up it would not have been a surprise. Sometimes results should be looked beyond a win is a win ... Play with the same lethargy regularly and lack of ambition Bristol City will be relegated.
I also agree.. however when the 3 subs came on to great disdain, they actually made a difference to the tempo and desire and the performance level improved.
For me, bringing on 3 subs at once is either that the team is playing dreadful, or that the set up was tactically wrong. The quote here. A case of he threw his own tactics out of the window. He does not know what he is doing? Who knows what team Mr Johnson will play next. This was evidently City's must win game. I expected City to enter the game full of confidence versus a team that regularly concedes goals (lots) away from home. I did not expect to see such lack of ambition and desire from kick off. Scared of Rotherham!!
We have played better and lost or drawn matches, it was dreadful saturday, but for now its ALL about the points!!
