When VVD goes, I hope it is to Chelsea because I am sure Saints can negotiate an exchange deal if that is the wish, and Chelsea have some rich pickings amongst their fringe players. Last week a student that I teach noticed Loftus-Cheek, and would like that kind of player in the team that he supports - Barca no less. I am not necessarrily saying Barca are interested in him, but if a Barca fan would like Loftus-Cheek then he must see something in him that he sees Barca are missing ... tall, athletic, powerful. Abraham, meanwhile is a goalscorer ...imagine him being paired up with Marco, while Ake might prove to be a very good defender. Chelsea have recalled him from his loan in case they get an injury to a CB or two. Whether he is good enough for a top PL team with pretensions to go far in the CL next season I am not so sure, but I am confident he is more than just a reasonable defender. Is it a coincidence that Bournemouth are leaking goals again by the hatful since his return to Chelsea?
I'd rather Vardy wasn't injured until late on. That we, he can hopefully even things up beforehand. Take out Virgil for Saints? OK, I'll take out Zlatan or De Gea for Utd.
Its easy to say now, but Claudio should have let Vardy, Mahrez & Drinkwater leave and brought in some some new hungary talent. He's going to lose his job because of them.
I think we're top of the worst teams on current form table at least. Leicester City can't score and AFC Bournemouth can't stop letting goals in (worse than us I mean).
I'm gunna take the Mark Lawrenson approach. We will win our next game purely because the run must end at some point.
