Isn't that what being a supporter is all about? I don't like to be told what to do, when I aim to do that every week. Although I'm impressed at tonight's result I'm still fairly sure we are going down.
Other clubs fans seem to carry on no matter what. With **** owners. But still go. When youre not so wet behind the ears you'll realise we are particularly good at giving up and not going. See Forest, Leeds, Sunland, Man U , Morecambe. and many many more.
Not many there tonight , but 95 per cent stood , despite the best efforts of the stewards ... And plenty singing .... I thought all the boycotters were doing aways instead? ..... I preferred it tho , rather have a small number making a noise then 3000 with picnics and blankets ..
You just don't get it. To you it's nothing because he put money in and that's the be all and end all. Comparing us to clubs who have relatively trivial issues. And it's a **** comparison anyway because some of those clubs have loads of stayaway fans. You're telling everyone to go games again with no interest whatsoever in the reasons they're not going. Just do as we're told right? No wonder you love the regime so much.
Those that pay and take a flask and blanket are as welcome and valued as anyone else. Being drunk, noisy, stood up, singing or baiting the away fans doesn't make you a better fan. I find the noise is best when the team play well. We don't have a long history of big crowds so it's inevitable we won't have the same atmosphere as some established teams.
I'm pretty sure it does That's why I spend so much on pre match drinks...it's my way of helping the team No need to thank me, it's my duty
Fair enough ,about flasks etc .. Badly worded .. I was just saying it's possible to have good support without massive numbers , as long as those in attendance get behind them like tonight
At Fulham, I stood behind two YUH. I have seen them before at aways, they seemed happy to stand, trying to catch the eye of Fulham fans. They didn't join in chants or songs. Just stood staring like ****ing shop window dummies, occasional glances at their phone. My back and knee gave up (along with my hope) and I just moved into a space a couple of rows up. One City supporter tried to get the chants going, but within the support there were pockets of young lads and lasses who took the ****ing piss out of him. I will stand on Saturday, I will sing and shout. Don't blame the flaskers for not joining in, the youngsters can be just as bad, the ****s them.
dont get onto me sir, youre constantly taking your frustrations out on me, sir. dont tell me youre gonna ban me from another thread. go on take out your childish frustrations on me sir.
Back in the day, we had a short-ish history of big crowds and great atmosphere. It coincided with the time we had several 'legendary' players playing together, scoring LOADS of goals, spread fairly uniformly across the 5-man front line. Coincidence? No. Build it (the team), and they will come (in some cases, literally; in others, metaphorically).
