    Club have got to keep VVD for next season now. If he was to leave in the summer, we would need to sign probably 3 new CB's in the summer.

    We do this every window, though. A lot of them never seem to get adequately replaced, no matter how many windows of not-panicking we go through. And replacing two CBs in the summer, which is rather likely, is going to be a panic.

    Remember lads (and lass) Saints are monitoring 25,000 players every second of every day. They have big knobs and gears and twisty things in a room that is black and box shape where all the magic happens...

    .... the magic of doing what every other bloody club does. Bit of last minute panic buying (and not much of it either).

    Puel will have to wrap Yoshida and Stephens in cotton wool in between games. Treat them like Villa treated Paul McGrath. Only train the day before matches on set pieces.
