All I'm seeing is bollocks about Moyes and old players, whether it be on this board or on twitter. It's the latest running joke. Until Honeyman started to feature lately all we were hearing is 'give youth a chance', 'why aren't we playing the kids'. So let's lay some facts down and see if any of this adds up 26.9 years as the average age in our squad. Since this window opened we've signed a 26 year old, a 29 year old and a 34 year old. In the league this season we've played just 5 players over the age of 30, 1 of which being Kaboul another being a complete goal machine. Where as we've played 11 players under the age of 23. Players aged 30 or over have accumulated 58 league appearances between them this season Where as players aged 23 or under have accumulated 115 league appearances between them this season. I know a large chunk of our fan base don't like Moyes, but looking for any excuse mock his performance by latching on to clear misconceptions to serve some 'dry wit' against Moyes and the club, just looks silly to me. I don't know what it is with our fan base, it just seems to latch onto complete bullshit and just swallow it back. It's been irritating the **** out me. You'd think anybody online would know how to access google and check facts before basing jokes around them but apparently not. This **** is everywhere at the moment. Somebody should defend him and the club when the butt of the joke is being based on completely flawed information. So I am now. So this just me spreading the word. please log in to view this image and calling out all the please log in to view this image
Can't beat a bit of Moyes bashing. Yes he maybe a dull drab ****, but he's our dull drab ****. ps. the hyprocrasy in my post is unreal i know. I did nowt but slag sam.
This is all about me and my frustrations with the misconceptions more than the misconceptions themselves really you know Com. Just taking the moment to have a whinge. Everyone should leave the dour one alone to appease my frustrations.
Quite like Moyes. Think he's making the best of a very bad situation. Have no problem with older players either really. Apart from O'Shea, his organisation aside, I think he's been a bag of ****e for years.
If the only thing they can bash Moyes over is his perceived dourness then it will do for me. Never let circumstances get in the way of a good moan.
Like a farmer commenting on the weather - too hot/cold/wet/dry/sunny/cloudy.* *Delete that which is inapplicable.
old or young ,moyes or not ,the fact is we are bottom once again ,cannot see where bracewell offers anything either.
Isn't our best player our oldest player in Defoe? I don't care how old they are as long as they can still play. I remember people writing Quinn off as too old when he signed for us.
JoS, Larson, Pienaar, Big Vic, Defoe, Catts, Hoff, Lescott, Gilly, and Rodders not exactly spring chickens. But as has been said if they are good enough, age is not a problem.
