    He is only 29 which is not exactly old for a keeper, and is only about 9 months older than Forster. I think it is a bit harsh to judge him from his time at Chelsea as his appearances have been pretty sparse (barring a run when Courtois was injured where he played well iirc). Anyway it is a pretty pointless conversation as he isn't coming here. I am intrigued by this young guy though as he has made about 50 first team games for Nice at 21 so Puel must rate him and we all know that Forster has been poor this season. I think this kid could be our new number one pretty soon.

    I've never rated Forster all that highly to be honest, not compared to most Saints fans anyway.

    Decent PL keeper, no more than that imo.

    Southampton are in talks to sign Spartak Moscow defender Serdar Tasci on loan, according to ESPN FC.

    The 29-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and has made just nine appearances for the club this season. He had a loan spell at Bayern Munich for the second half of last term

    If you want to know the quality of Tasci, that pretty well sums it up: they're looking to loan him out for the final six months of his contract just to be shot of his wages.

    We should be grateful for Lovren saving a sure fire goal in the 1st leg off the line.....he only did that so we could enjoy the second leg triumph even more. :)

    Don't know anything about the guy, but if better targets aren't available at the moment, it's sensible to bring someone on loan to cover until Virgil recovers.
