On the face of it yes, but we don't know what has been happening behind the scenes.
Sounds like quite a lot has been happening tbh

there is a difference between not being in a mental state 2 weeks ago after having gobby hollowhead make an approach, A DAY OR SO BEFORE and 2 weeks on when the player says he isn't right after Lee endeavoured to ensure him he is part of the bigger plan
is he any better than what QPR HAVE? I do not think so ... maybe on the day an equal, but what a risk his agent is forcing him into ..
has QPR A BETTER CHANCE OF SUCCESS THAN US? NO they have a long way to go before they get a team to be top 6 .. as do we ... their wage bill is higher and still living off the PREM DRIP FEED .... crowds will not support their wage structure in the next couple of seasons.

Lee Johnson endeavoured to drop Luke Freeman. You are not part of this. No contract extension. You are not mentally right. Clear message.

Can you explain how the psychology there ensures Luke Freeman is more likely now to be mentally right to play works? I cannot.

    QPR AGREE FREEMAN DEAL

Sky sources: QPR have agreed a £300k deal with Bristol City to sign midfielder Luke Freeman.

We understand the player is heading to London for a medical. Bristol City manager Lee Johnson said on Saturday that Freeman had refused to play in their FA Cup defeat at Burnley.

Don't really know what he has done wrong. Everyone slating him despite the fact he is one of the main reasons we are playing in the Championship right now.

You can call him a league one player all you like, but we are a league one club in my opinion.

Can anyone point out a member of that squad that have showed they are an exceptional Championship talent in the last 15 games? There is the best part of 20 million in red running around on the pitch at Ashton Gate at the moment! Almost every member of our promotional squad has not made the step up to Championship. Not just Luke. Now you are all hammering him based on what? Something our shambles of a manager has said.

I don't blame any of our players wanting to jump off this sinking ship. If you are expecting anyone to be at this club for love you are asking to be let down. We ditch players as and when we please and there are plenty of options for them around the world when they aren't appreciated or can see something is rotten.

Good luck to him, thanks for the memories of at least one tremendous season. If LJ wants to throw his toys out the pram and tell the press lies to make him and his record breaking losing streak look or feel better, good luck to him as well.

Just maybe Freeman don't want to play for him.

We need a manager that is respected by the players.

Put this right and we will be okay.

Lansdown has to deal with it.

Ah. So Freeman is intentionally playing worse because he doesn't like the manager now RR?

    BCFCRob. 'intentionally playing worse......'
During my career in football and cricket, players gave more to a manager they respected and admired.
I'm not saying it's right or wrong - it's what happens.
It's pretty obvious to most that something is seriously wrong at City.
Like it or not the only out for Lansdown is to sack LJ.
    It's inevitable.

    It is.

So why in the name of God is it taking so long ?
This should have been done and dusted before the Transfer Window even opened IMHO. The writing on the wall was in large enough letters for all to see. Bar the blind/stupid of course.

I don't ever want us to lose games, but if doing so gets shot of LJ and finally wakes the owner up and forces some action, then I'll take yet another defeat or two to get it done.

clear as mud ..."]Lee Johnson endeavoured to drop Luke Freeman. ( this implies he tried to but couldn't ) You are not part of this. ( maybe statement in wrong place ?)No contract extension.( there was a contract in place with enhanced terms but LF wouldn't sign it ) You are not mentally right would not disagree with this as it was an event just days before a game...
any way .......... difference between then and now .......... a lot of things that happen can have an impact effect, the initial realization .. but after a period of time this can mellow/ become less of an issue. and the opposite of what was part of the cause, is often the first steps back.... LF has 2 path's 3 years at City or 3 years somewhere else, juniors hand was one HOLLOWHEADS PEN THE OTHER ... the agent thrives on bread and butter players being swapped around..and usually give out / the players loads of BS.
As we are now aware the terms are £300k if so piss poor

Mr Johnson did not do his upmost to keep Luke Freeman here the moment he bombed him out and uttered unsupportively and publically why he had dropped him.

Amateur and unprofessional from Mr Johnson ... Again.

Sorry Clifton have to disagree ... use of the word bombed is one that is soft or hard in context, I think you are using it hard... don't agree he did however explain the situation why he "dropped" LF and had to do that publically as he couldn't pop round and tell you in confidence! ... and is it not fact that on here many posters moan about not getting the "info" / truth about what is happening

Bombed is a term used in dressing rooms everywhere. Dropped/bombed ... It is the same thing.

Again can you explain how Mr Johnsons cod psychology worked? Why is a player going to be more mentally right to play after being dropped for something that is their right? Its comedy stuff from Lee Johnson.

Lee Johnson is waffler. His rhetoric and excuses for poor performance, his poor performance is the emporer's new clothes.

I would make no parallel between a great of the game and a man who is increasingly looking like he is only at BCFC because of his surname.
