Not sure Lewis could do much about either goal Martina okay going forwards, much less so in defence I'm not sure who out there is shouting the orders, either in defence or midfield. Needs much more communication about the Arsenal runners
I also would have rotated heavily for this match, but not this much. I would have made three less changes - kept Yoshida, Forster and Redmond in the lineup. We'd probably still be second best, but we would have some chance of getting something from the match. Today's lineup shows me that we just gave up on this cup before the ball was kicked, so no point in getting worked up about this loss and rubbish performance.
More disappointed with the tactics than the team selection, but maybe that speaks to the lack of match preparation available. I could go into one of my rambles here but by the time I was finished the second half would've ended. Not particularly surprised Arsenal's 2nd team with a week to prepare is a lot better than our injury-depleted 2nd team with a day to prepare, though.
I guess, when the premiership money men do their sums, the League cup is the easiest route to more cash (and the FA cup is more profitable to the small clubs)
Hope Puel makes this a example to Kat/the Chinese that we need to bring in a few better back up players.
Yes, I don't like losing and don't want to get hammered, but I really couldn't care less about this cup. We're in a final... which could give us European football... have played a ridiculous amount of games since Christmas and a lot of teams no longer care about the fa cup anymore.. like most football nowadays it's all about money, hence why premier league teams are on tv and not teams like Lincoln...
It's all good, I had a much needed nap from 20-45 minutes, and it's Claude's subtle way of saying that despite going to Wembley we still need reinforcements.
"Southampton are unlikely to make it to Europe" Jake, you're normally good, but we're 90 minutes away from Europe you berk.
