Fair enough. But Redmond is currently our 3rd top scorer on 4 goals, behind Charlie and Jay, and one ahead of Shane. And imo he is the current forward who has the most improvement in him (apart from maybe Sims).

Apologies. I didn't want this hare to keep running, but I just don't get this. Can Hughie Fisher now claim an FA Cup winners medal for 76 on the grounds that he scored in the third round? The lad missed the final. He was still a Saints player but he didn't play in the final. I'm not sure an injured player should get a medal (sorry Virgil), but the idea that a player who has sought a transfer out of the club should be entitled is crap.

BTW TLL, I'm not angry just merely baffled. And no, I shan't care who gets a medal when Steven holds up that cup in February. But it would be bonkers if an ex-player were to get one.

On the thread's real theme. Just get it done is the Brexit cry. It'll all end in tears if we go that route! I agree with FLT. Keep the cash price low and negotiate on the %. We could be selling him to Pompey for six hot dogs in a years time. But if we do sell him for £60m* it will mean he has helped us win something big and the loss of a couple of million on his transfer fee will be nowt.

I think in the past medals were rare, but, as someone has pointed out, we will get a stash of them to handout to the rest of the squad and staff. So if we win....it will be up to Les. I'm coming down on the side of giving one to Jose as a thank you for everything in the past....it will also be bittersweet because he missed the chance to actually be there. However, let's win the thing first.
