Marco said in his after match press conference that he had not wanted to train for the last 10 days ... yes we may not have offered him the deal he wanted but after all the Club did for him during and after his injury I'm sorry that's a c--ts trick
Snodgrass owes us nothing. He helped get us up and we would be 10 points adrift of safety without him, he has always given his all on the pitch and certainly doesn't come across as someone who thinks he's too big for the club. The club has pissed him and a few others about with the way they gave gone about contract negotiations and team strengthening. Finally, he is also 29 and has one last good deal in him. If Ehab really wanted to keep him, why accept £10m? We could have got virtually that for him in the summer, which would have been the right time to let him go, and if we had actually talked to the bloke instead of just triggering a 1 year extension on the same terms then maybe at least something along those lines could have been agreed. A third of the fans are so pissed off they won't go anymore, and we wonder why a 29 year old playing his best football might look for more security with a team that actually wants him and isn't run like a ****ing jumble sale by some egotistical twat who has no management, leadership or communication skills whatsoever. Some of the posts about him now he's going are just pathetic, as are any fans that give him grief when we next play West Ham.
This. Some on here are preparing stern letters to Sunderland to get real about how they value their players.
Arsehole, wonder what all the people slagging the club/manager off for accepting bids for him have to say now.
Alas we live in the email/text era. Face to face chats are becoming a thing of the past. edit: he says on an internet forum
The first book I was bought as a young kid back in the 40's was by Billy Steele titled " How to play Football". Billy was a Sottish International and I just loved that book!
I don't think with less than 10 days until the transfer window closes is the right time to be haggling for a couple of million for a player who doesn't want to play for the club, do you? Take the money, get rid of the prick and reinvest in players who want to be here.
That article will have been deleted when they realised they ****ed up and he's actually having the medical in Germany.
Do you understand how the transfer window works? Look at West Ham with Payet. They didn't piss themselves when he refused to play and sell for 2m and a packet of crisps.
Its a daft point cos West Ham don't need the money to get replacements in and when they eventually do sell him they 100% FACT will get less money than they originally valued him at. So he's talking bollocks.
When desperation sets in buying clubs will pay a premium. Except of course when we are the selling club. Snodgrass was in demand - look at how many clubs expressed an interest.
And they're looking like they have a great chance of staying up aren't they mate. They'll be so glad they got that extra few million for him when they're going away to Brentford next season.
