Yeah, cos Ehab is a genius isn't he? Every interview Silva has he keeps stating that a team at this level cannot work with 15 or 16 players, and every day more get linked with leaving. Even sensible senior players like Dawson and Livermore have come out around the contract situations and said they have been puzzled by the lack of discussion. We have what seems to be a progressive coach, motivating and getting what he has got playing to their absolute maximum (and why wouldn't all of us be delighted by that?), but we recognise he is doing it with no real support or communication or leadership from above, and in front of a half empty stadium because the owners seem determined to blame the fans for everything from not being able to get their hands on the stadium, to not being able to get their hands on £130m from a takeover. We all support the team: you'd have to be deluded or an utterly selfish prick to support what the owners have done with the fans.
Glad to see you didn't disappoint....once again you missed the point completely.........but I know you were just trying to get a dig in again !!! I am not knocking him, it was his first (or second) ever professional start ? and as you mentioned he was playing out of position.....but if you went to the game you would agree he was far from the standard required.
Got back late last night so only just pitching in with me opinion. Isn't Jose the biggest twat you have ever heard/seen (well apart from the one running our club). Can we not recognise their first goal in this tie as it was offside? Thanks. Good all round performance again. Enjoyable to watch and I like what he has brought to the way we play. So much better to watch than under SB and early MP matches. Prima donnas pissed off they didn't get things their way. Pleased for Niasse. Great goal, special mention to Markovic and especially Meyler for getting that ball back across the goal as well as he did. Let's hope it kick starts something good for us. Thought Meyler played Rashford well seeing as he isn't a fullback. Tom was...well Tom! Brilliant. Tymon is developing as confidence grows. Like Bowen and needs more game time. If Rehab doesn't back his new manager/head coach and squad he will have wasted his time, money and effort changing things around not to mention dashing the hopes of the CITY faithful and not so faithful. A few days left to show he means business in trying to keep us up. I am still not convinced we will do it. According to Marco 3 or 4 players required preferably 4. I still won't like you for doing it (not that you're bothered of course) but get Marco's targets signed and give the bloke a fighting chance. Me and others pissed off Rehab took away N3/4/5. He hasn't got a ****ing clue that bloke. Hope Marco can keep this going, we can stay up, Rehab and his dad **** off, Marco signs a long contract with us, our new owners allow football people to run the business and we become what we should have been already.
Thanks for the clarification......it just confirms what i already knew, that you know nothing about football
Does Weir even have a best position? I don't recall ever hearing what it is, and he only ever seems to have played RB on the rare occasions he has played. That whole signing has just been weird from day one. How does Man U's youth team captain end up being not good enough for our reserves, while our own youth team players, who are younger than him, are getting fairly regular games.
He is definitely a midfielder....and he's still only 21......but as you mentioned, I was expecting more from a Man Utd U23 captain
Yeah, but it happens every now and again, that a full back slot or out wide is a lower risk for breaking someone in, than dumping them in the heart central midfield (especially against the likes of old pros like Adams and Allen at Stoke)
Yeah that makes sense. I'm just wondering on what basis he is actually a midfielder unless he actually plays there.
I was thinking if Mourinho was our manager where we'd be in the league. I can think of 4 of the penalties we have conceded this season as being soft, never in a million etc... as such, if we ignored ( I do not see these goals) them then we'd be at least 4 points better off and out of the relegation zone... SIMPLES....!!!
I watched him play a couple of times for Man Utd U23 prior to him coming to us. He played pretty impressively on the left side in both matches playing as either a wing back/fullback or midfield. He has always played for us on the right side- if I remember correctly the last sub appearance he made for us was at right back for about 10 mins or so. Silva has him on the bench so it will be interesting to see if and how he utilises him.
Didn't Weir basically set up our second against Stoke in the Cup? I know Maloney got the actual assist but I think it was Weir who got the ball in. So not totally dreadful.
Your memory is pretty good. Weir through to Maloney to Henriksen. Great goal by Mason too for our first from a Weir to Maguire to Henriksen to Mason move.
This is another baffling thing. I've heard a few times that he might be left-sided but we play him only on the right. Is he right or left-footed? It's all just a bit weird.
