It's a daft idea I suppose, but here it is. All we have as a club is a squad of football players. That's all we really have to sell because we can't sell the Circle, it's not ours to sell. We can't sell the SMC because it loses money, so why would anyone want to buy it? North Ferriby? don't make me laugh. So what do we have left? The players is all. Livermore's gone, Snodgrass is all but gone and there are numerous rumours about the likes of Robertson, Harry Maguire and Abel etc.... The Allams want to sell Hull City and all we have to sell is our players. Sell them one by one, bring in loan players on a comparatively low wage and the Allams still have a club to sell. Sounds like a plan?
Getting their money out basically, player transaction by player transaction. To sell the club at some stage will be a bonus for them.
Allam Exclusive Pt 2: Hull City ‘have never (in a way you'd notice) been (but we are now) a selling (the) club (overtly) under our ownership (we've started to offload this now)’ - Ehab Allam
It looks this way. We will know when the window shuts. If we are prepared to sell Snodgrass then the whole squad is for sale...Expect another sale before the window shuts...
Absolutely. It's basically asset stripping. Talksport were saying the Premier League have to step in and were very critical that they didn't at the beginning of the season when short of players
Yes that's 100% the plan see the talk sport thread. Others are still saying this is a good window. Absolute insanity. One saying the squad will be better at the end of the window than the start!!! That's the scary thing, they are getting way with it. If robbo follows snoddy then the plan is clear. Harry and Abel will be out the door in the Next window. We will go down with a bare squad and struggle badly.
Who knows? I posted somewhere else, if 3 clubs are in for a player, you create an auction to squeeze a few more mill. Desperation?
So why change the manager? It would have been more cost effective to stick with Phelan. It doesn't add up.
He hasn't enough money for the current transfer window and wants the majority of the cash now. So any deals will be front-loaded which means the buyer is in a stronger position. How much do you think sacking Phelan and his team cost? He then employed Silva and his team and has made transfers and loan signings. Silva still has more targets which could see another 3 or 4 players come in. All that costs money, a lot of money. The bank loan shows that they don't have it so all that's left is to sell our best players to pay for Silva's targets. The only way the Allams will get their money back is by staying in the Premier League, this is their final throw of the dice.
I assume this is the case Or at least partially I'm assuming that they're offloading value to reduce the loan. Borrowing money to somehow repay more of their loan (this is the bit I'm less sure of) . Bring in loan players. If the miracle happens and we stay up they're laughing. If we go down they've got a fair chunk of their loan back & a lower wage bill Then they could keep taking their money back from the parachute, or offload the club for a lot less because they'll be owed a lot less If we spend the £20m on other players in the next 6 days this isn't the case If we sell other prize assets without spending it's definitely the case
Phelan didn't have the links to overseas loan market? Silva isn't the messiah, he's just a very naughty boy
It's been that way from the start. Go back to the name change. The idea was utter bullshit. He lied about it from the start. Pretended to have got it all from proper third party research. When questioned he sent a link to an irrelevant article which was actually published after he'd announced the idea. And yet some people bought it. He made it plainly clear in public that he was straight up lying and yet people actually believed him. You've hit the nail on the head. They've been getting away with it from the beginning. Anything they do people lap it up. The number has been gradually decreasing for years but there are still enough for them to get away with it. Doesn't matter that the evidence is in front of their very eyes, they'll see it some other way, because they want to.
How much do YOU think Phelan and his team cost? Small change down the back of the settee in PL terms, given his small team and their short contracts. They can all be paid off out the £6mill Ehaw trousered from that deposit he conned from the Chinese.
