I don't think people's problem so much is selling Snodgrass. I think the problem lies in selling arguably our best player and main reason we aren't cut adrift at the bottom of the table, mid way through a season. When we already have vastly underfunded and paper thin squad and are replacing players with loanees who need time to bed in and find fitness and are unproved in this country at this level, when we currently do not have the luxury of time for them to bed in. We didn't strenghthen enough in summer, we have an injury crisis and we have brought in 4 players, lost 2, 3 are loanees whose wages will be ofset by Snodgrass and Livermore leaving. So our assets depreciate in value the money isn't reinvested and things feel like they are slipping more towards a Blackpool situation. Dismantling a team and distrupting any iota of remaining squad harmony whilst we have currently seen very little money reinvested in to the squad and instead with loan players or small fees. On top of that we sell to a club who could still be dragged into a relegation battle of whom are a similar size club to ourselves but around 3-4 times smaller of a City/Town. The issue is so much smaller in the closed season when you have time to bringing in players and really rebuild when you have time on your side. All whilst the Allam's continue to do spiteful and underhanded things in the background.
The same is true of any player, no more for Snodgrass than anyone else. He's been fit as a fiddle for over a year now.
We're a ****ing **** team Won 4 games... in 22 conceded a pathetic amount Signing some loanees who have been **** Hoping they play like world class We are ****ed mate 100%
You're wasting your time typing - some of the ****wits can't see that by selling Snodgrass we've weakened our squad/team and strengthened an opponent, the sale of Snodgrass, at this time, is ridiculous.
we havent even kicked a ball yet and you are writing us off? call yourself a supporter? supporters like you, who needs enemies?
We always were. Nothings changed. Only in recent years We've been able to slow down the realisation of the dawning on the minds of Men.
wow...... just wow. so youre absolving SB and MP of all responsibility? and then when MS turns things around, does EA get the plaudits?
I think people need to see what the squad looks like in a week. We don't have a league game before then and the business done, between now and then, will be able to tell us if the the club is being asset-stripped or the manager is planning a revolution. Knee-jerk reactions don't help anybody but I'd rather you vented your spleens on here than at the stadium (once the window is shut then feel free to vent them where you want). Obviously the usual caveat applies that everything that happens is just noise until the club is sold (or goes into administration).
Geez....talking about stating the bleeding obvious........I don't think anyone is saying we haven't weakened the team because at this moment in time we clearly have. Its what happens in the next 6 days which dictates whether this is a wise move or not.
If we stay up, what irks me is ehab will feel a smug little **** when it's completely in spite of him
