I honestly think the Allams bit off more than they could chew when they bought this club. The whole name change bollocks was because they **** their pants when they realised they couldn't adequately fund a football club. They didn't anticipate how business in football is done, they didn't anticipate the inflation of prices in the transfer market. They thought they could spend a few bob here and there and become an established Premier League club. Contrast this with Leicester's owners, who know that you have to spend a lot of money in football to remain successful, otherwise you'd be left catching up like a fat kid in a sports day race.

Sale of the club - if there had been a deal with no caveats then it would have happened overnight.
Offer from Burnley - what's that got to do with anything?
You are just making it up and ignoring contract law.

What's the biggest single purchase most people will ever make in their lifetime?

    Have you heard of gazumping?

    Done.

And my point on the offer from Burnley is we don't even know it one has been made. Sky Sources are wrong all the ****ing time.

You still don't seem to have a basic understanding of contract law.
Have you ever bought a house? You can't get out of buying it unless you include a caveat such as "subject to contract".

Gazumping is BEFORE there's a contract.

Yes I have. I've also been gazumped.

How do you know such a caveat doesn't exist in any transfer dealing?

I feel let down though. I have not had time to read through all of the posts but wonder if it was him actually wanting to go and wonder if the mysterious muscle injury is in fact Snodgrass staying away from training by choice. If this is the case then I am bloody angry as I think he should have shown some loyalty and stayed until the end of the season. I know some people will think that is unrealistic and maybe it is but like I say as supporters you give the team every support, especially players like him and it feels like a kick in the teeth if they bale out when they know we are in a relegation battle. If it is the club that has instigated this then it is suicide because I would be very surprised if we get anyone that can score goals like Snodgrass can. Ehab thinks he has all the answers and fancies himself as being able to pick out good players at bargain prices so lets see where that gets us. Either way the team that we have left are going to need all our support big style in the next few months to try and pull off this "great escape".

I almost feel apathetic about the whole situation. Apathy because i've wasted too much energy and emotion on just how badly the club is ran and just how embrassing we are as a club and just how spiteful Ehab is. Apathetic because I have grown to learn that nothing can shock me about how much these guys have dismattled the club and it's support.

I can't pretend to hide how distraught I am that we have sold our two best players who rank up their with two of our all time best for relative peanuts to clubs, that before the Allam's ruined us, of a similar stature. Sold whilst in a relegation battle.

With our already embarrassing paper thin squad and injury crisis we just keep selling and replacing them with a bunch of loanee european outcasts mid way through a relegation battle who should we be relegated will be gone at the end of the season leaving us with a squad thinner than paper and would be that we are doomed to replicate Leeds, Sheff Utd and sink down the leagues. With a manager on a 6 month contract.

I hope Silva is a genius and keeps us up because if we go down then we are doomed for years to come.

A shop isn't making an offer - it's an "invitation to treat"
I wish people wouldn't come up with examples that they don't understand

Nobody - and I mean nobody - would've said 2 weeks ago that Jake was one of our 2 best players.

You mean like saying a transfer offer made is after a contract has been agreed?

Is anyone else concerned that the club seems to need to sell to buy despite the revelation last week that they have a deal in
place with Macquarie Bank to bring forward PL TV revenue ?

that is what I have been saying all along!
if there's a caveat then you can rely on that
you said that you can withdraw from a contract anytime until goods are delivered - that isn't true

Maybe you should read you link. Unless Burnley have stipulated that the offer is legally binding - and thus creating a contract - there is no legal obligation.

Acceptance of an offer does not make a contract, it merely states the intention to make a contract. I'm 100% certain your link will say exactly that as I recently had to go through all this bollocks for work.
