http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/...brough-news-transfers-live-snodgrass-12503398 Could there be a bidding war about to start for Sndgrass??
What a load of bollocks. Our best player who's scored or created half of all our goals and we've accepted peanuts from Burnley. His set pieces alone are worth more than £10m to us.
Interestingly sky bet offering 2/1 to go to Burnley and 2/1 to stay at city, Burnley were 22/1 this morning aswell. I aren't sure this means anything but if we have had a bid accepted could be worth making a few quid off it. Also puzzling because if they've had a bid accepted you'd assume he was pretty much certain to go to Burnley
There's now at least £20m hopefully to play with. Silva and his team will have targets lined up to buy. Silva confirmed a few hours ago we're trying to bring in Bailey which leads me to believe his deal with the german club is far from complete. Even if we dont land Bailey we'll have other targets. It's going to be an exciting end to the window thats for sure!
His set pieces alone are all he offers. Has he scored 2 from open play this season from memory? Amazing return from someone playing in his position...
I jumped on at $5.50 a minute or two after Sky announced it. Bit nervous now that we might accept multiple bids lol.
The problem is selling first and then buying makes clubs put the prices up. The Allams can even think of just cashing in.
It doesn't matter how he scores or creates them, fact is, without him we'd be absolutely ****ed already, he's the only reason we're still in touching distance.
Bid accepted from Burnley if snodgrass excepts a move to Burnley it can only be for the money as that shows no ambition to go to a higher profile club
£4 million profit for Snodgrass and £2 million profit for Livermore is chump change these days. We look set to sell two of our best midfielders in a week for a measly profit of £6 million. Even for lower-end clubs that sort of sell-on value is gash in comparison to how important they were to us. But that's the entire Allam philosophy. Short-sighted and eager to make a quick buck and 'we'll deal with the consequences at the last minute'. The fact we've sold two of our best midfielders to relegation rivals is just the cherry on top. Would the Allam's sell 50% of Allam Marine to a competitor for a tiny profit, or is it just their business dealings in football that are completely ******ed?
£10m for Snodgrass is again appalling. Where else can you find a player that offers the goals and assists he does for £10m? How much do West Ham value Payet at? Disgraceful.
On another note 2 years ago Livermoee was worth nothing and Snodgrass was injured and worth nowt. So from a owners perspective they've gained 20 million maybe? I'm not sticking up for them mind in today's market both are worth 30 million together.
That's ridiculous. They're 13th in the league and will probably stay up at this point. We've been a joke since the summer and that's the reason our best players want to leave. They know they're on a hiding to nothing. It's absolutely obvious and completely understandable. Diame said after he left it was the tiny squad and Bruce leaving that made him want to go. A footballer's career is short and they're not going to waste a year of it at a club which hasn't even tried to build a squad fit for the Premier League.
IMO Livermore isn't worth any more than 5 million, and Snodgrass isn't worth more than 10 million. This is in the real world not football manager. If we make a big signing in the next few days, which I imagine we will, things may look very different. Snodgrass doesn't offer much to the team other than set pieces, some may say this is vital and I would have to agree. But I'd rather Marco spend the money on players he really wants than keep a free kick taker he doesn't particularly want.
