That look pretty good. Ojo will give us much needed width. And playing on Taa side is a plus as they play after together in the U23
If van dick plays we are going to hammer into him and break him up.... 100%. To have a guy like him on the pitch is good but if hes limping about we will run him and if he is not a quick kick and he will be.
I said on here before the 1st leg it's a **** rule. They should either count completely or not at all imo.
I think we'll have to score to be honest. Can't see 0-0. I just hope we adopt the same tactics as the first leg. Try and park the bus and play for 0-0 and we'll come unstuck in a big way imo.
You played deep but carried a threat throughout the last game, we need to get the balance right. I go on about the City game often as it was perfect, we were all over them attacking wise but also had a great defensive balance. Our defence gets a lot of stick but in the games we've lost this season it's the defending from the front that goes missing, the forwards and midfield are the ones who seem to stop running and tracking back leaving us exposed.
Until all our players know that they are part of the defence we have to keep on conceding stupid gaols.
yup... esecially the guys who are ALL coming infield and leving the wide areas wide open in both attack and defence
And we have to put up with the commentators repeatedly explaining how it works throughout the entire game!!
I agree. the consistent sight is the midfield leaving massive gaps for people to get in goal side whereas you watch Southampton they always screen the back 4. players do missing chasing games and the thing i've noted for last 5/6 games is nobody is sitting in between the two cbs after about 20mins.
As long as Firmino is CF and Lallana is CM, it will help restore the balance in our team. Klopp seems reluctant to put Lallana back in CM but I would really like to see Lallana there and Gini on the LW - where he operated well at Newcastle. Hendo and Can as the defensive, stable CM's, Lallana as the link man. Think it could work.
I'd rather have 10 men than can in his current condition this is all about moving lads around to fill a gaping hole nobody else can it seems. all the forwards have let us down IMO.
Cagey at the beginning with the Saints trying to keep it 0-0. We score and the game opens up. I see it as 2 or 3 -0 to us.
