    It'll be very unfortunate if our defence caves in against 'Pool and we then sign the Centre Back we needed against 'Pool, from 'Pool.

    To be perfectly honest, even if we'd signed a cb in the last few days/week, I wouldn't have been throwing them in for their debut tonight.

    Defence is one of the most important areas where you need to know your team mates, particuarly in a game where we're going to be on the back foot for the majority.

    Never implied that they would, nobody's actually sure they'll sell him to us after either. Sure would be good to have a first choice CB for the game though wouldnt it? Although I guess Maya is first choice now.

    I dont disagree. I really havent seen enough of Stephens to back him over an experienced CB coming in at short notice. When you dont have choices you dont have to make any I guess. The kid did well on loan I believe so its not his first rodeo at least and he's one of ours.

    Of course it would. It's a tough situation if Virgil is out, but it is what it is. Makes for an even more unbelievable result when we go through against all odds.

    Plenty of media outlets have reported it now, but perhaps on the back of the original bulls***. It is in today's Times, the Metro, Daily Star, Express...but it could just be a s*** avalanche snowballing. Time will tell!
