As well as Kakay. Not too sure I agree with him on this one, but hey ho. Don't think it's always been Olamide's fault that the team have conceded, and if it wasn't for his excellent tackles against Norwich it could have been 2-2. Bit disappointed with this to be honest http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/holloway-lines-qpr-duo-loan-moves
Rangers boss Holloway believes Shodipo needs to improve the defensive side of his game before being considered for a regular place. Question mark over his attitude / workrate? Edit - maybe not about his attitude after reading the full article
I'm afraid I have to completely agree with this. I've said it before in as much words. I really like what Shodipo does in attacking play but my goodness, I don't really want him having much (if any) defensive responsibilities. I don't think he's that lazy. I think it's more that he has no idea where to position himself when we're out of possession or defending a counter attack. I'd play him in the attacking midfield/2nd striker role, maybe.
With that said... Ian Holloway wants a loan for Shodipo and then publicly announces the boy can't defend....
Potentially, an exciting player. I'd have preferred him to stay within the fold, but he could do well for a League 1 or 2 side.
I know we have improved of late but no one could accuse us of being exciting. IH seems determined to make sure that doesn't change...
Rangers boss Holloway believes Shodipo needs to improve the defensive side of his game before being considered for a regular place. Then use your management skills and people at our club to earn their money and help him improve! Another one that will disappear.
If he's got to go then it needs to be a decent league one team otherwise what's he going to learn? He needs a work ethic or at least show he's got the message. Door stays open long enough and we will pick up injuries in key positions, we always do. The chance will come again.
Doesn't look like it, but when are we going to get him and the rest of the back 5, to pass to team mates instead of all the hopeful punts we see now?
I live in the town Frome and he will need time just to get over the culture shock, Swindon doesn't have any. His recovery will be long and hard but Charlie Austin proves anything is possible.
I don't think my opinion on Shodipo is very impartial as he is very local to me but......I really hope we keep him. I honestly think from the little that I have seen of him that he is good enough for the Championship. I think for him to drop down a league or two might harm his confidence. Sorry Olly, but I can not agree with you on this one. Give the lad more game time to improve his confidence and teach him to defend at Harlington. Don't hope some league 1 team drum it into him when you can do it yourself, if you were bothered.
We don't have much attacking flair in the squad. Shodipo was one of the few who did. It would appear to me that Holloway is looking for an outfield 10 of busy hard working players without any flair. A bit like the Chilean national side minus a Sanchez.
Don't agree with this one. I like him as an attacking player. Surely it's not beyond the talents of all our coaches to improve the defensive side of his game?
I don't get why we are paying to get Lua Lua fit. Does he really offer more defensively than Shodipo if that's the problem?
