If he wants to go, let him go - was good when he was good, bad when he was bad and still rather bad in between. But he scored a goal against Man City and 2 against Millwall and generally looks like he cares so people forgive. He won't be a big loss if we are brutally honest and we have St Ledger and as a direct replacement and Tunchev will be back in September if Sven doesn't get someone else.
Nooooooooo the kiss of death: StringerSport Ian Stringer BBC Radio Leicester understands there has been NO bid for Sol Bamba and The Foxes are NOT negotiating with Blackburn Rovers #lcfc #brfc 40 minutes ago
He will only go if he doesn't want to stay. Seeing him against Madrid and Cov, hes been spectacular recently, can see him playing a big part in our promotion push.
If Bamba wants to go we should let him go but say we want 4M for him and we wont sell for a penny less. But if he wants to stay great. Him and Mills look like creating a solid partnership together. We just need a striker ie Nicky Maynard and then our squad is complete
So why would Steve Kean tell Sky that they've put in a bid and are closing in on him? Seems odd to me. Fourth_Official has also got an impeccable record as to transfers (although I seem to remember him saying Routledge to us was a done deal). However, Stringer, in theory, should have the best sources within the club. Heart is telling me Stringer is right and Head is telling me Sky and Fourth_Official are right.
I can't see why Sky would try to create the rumour, but if you look at Kean's quotes he doesn't specify which defender he is trying to bring in. I don't think even Stringer would be this adament with out proof. And re: fourth official - just an example of many bits of info he gets wrong - he stated two days ago Derbyshire was coming to Leicester City. He gets loads of stick for getting things wrong which he has claimed are 'definite' or 'facts'. Not to say he won't be correct on Bamba sale, but to me, it's too much of a coincidence that almost all of his info comes out just after a rumour or exclusive elsewhere (paper, SSN, etc). I think he claims he is 'in the know' when in fact he just has a lot of time on his hands and gathers together info/rumours from various locations - sometimes regurgitating, sometimes trying to fill in the gaps. Still useful place to visit if you dont want to trawl through loads of websites.
But then in the same way why would Sky speculate as to which defender he was talking about? I think the answer was as a result of a question asked about Bamba following The Sun rumours or he gave that answer and then Sky asked which defeder he was talking about and hence printed the Bamba story.
Personally I don't think we should sell him. He's looked very solid against Real Madrid & Coventry and gives us an extra dimension from set pieces. As it stands our defence must be one of the strongest in the division and this will form the basis of our promotion push.
I thought we are trying to build a squad not dismantle one..we don't need to sell....he is under contract...I will be VERY disappionted if he goes...I will question the ambition of the club...come on sven ,fook em off..........
Sven has always stated that if people want to leave he won't stop them - if Bamba has said he wants to leave and we make him stay will his performances nose dive?
I don;t care if we replace him with Carles Puyol. He is our player and I will be EXTREMELY disapointed if he is able to leave. My only hope is that Sol can see how much the fans love him. 6700 turned out to watch him and his team mates on saturday, he'll be lucky if 670 turn out to see him at Blackburn. Please Sol, we are begging you. Don't go.
WTF? What's happened today? Bamba can't leave! Anybody saying St Ledger is a good replacement needs their head checking! We don't need the money why would we let him go? Yes he's inconsistent but he's easily Premiership class on his day. We are already short at centre back with only 3 central defenders, we'll have no back up at all if Bamba goes. For the love of God tell me this won't happen!
his performances will nosedive....bollocks.....he is a pro...playing crap will damage his career...... he ain't been here five minutes........he won't do better than us...blackburn are a joke.........their owners are clowns........
If this happens I will join the rioters Seriously though this would be a bag of ****. We can't afford to lose players now the season's started. We don't need to sell and Blackburn are not going anywhere forward. I do hope he thinks further in the future than this season.
Don't go bamba, we wan't you to stay. We wan't you to stay, we wan't you to staaaaaaayyyy, don't go bamba, we wan't you to stay!
might be just a ploy by his agent to get the lad a better deal..............better be..............fooking blackburn, what a shight hole....you won't like it sol.....i promise you.... samba and bamba.... would be come a joke comedy team...
I can't see any positives from him leaving. We will struggle to get a replacement, making us ****ed up front and ****ed at the back. And it's unlikely Forest will make general sale. Today has pissed me right off.
