"Lee is the head coach, he has my full support and that of the board and majority of the fans" "Everything is working well" "LJ will learn from his mistakes" "He'll turn it around and sort it out" "Lee Tomlin's form has gone off the boil" "Some supporters lack patience" SL denied the next 2 games are crucial when Geoff asked him for a timescale on improvement, what does he see in LJ? - young manager, always looking for advice, will turn it around & sort it out we know how to turn it around! need a bit of luck and we will be alright. Asked re. relegation..."may go down to the wire"... That's the most of it basically
The right manager? Whooooooooooooo??? You seem to have one lined up.......please don't come up with AP or NP or NW......it ain't gonna happen
Thanks Tom much appreciated SL needs to sit down, and seriously look at the financial implications, imagine paying this lot in league one, on league one crowds
I love to sit down and have a long chat with the owner, seriously backing the worst manager in Bristol City FC history
RR ARE YOU DEAF? SL since the "twattish banners have been up has decided to speak out. he is a man that wont let other people tell him what to do ..he has basically come out on 2 media and said...there are a lot of games left, Lee is in charge AND WE HAVENT JUST SPENT THE MONEY AND TIME ON having someone else try and pick up the pieces ..his intimation is at the moment we stick with it.... so for at least the next few weeks pointless harping on about SL GET LEE OUT he has told you "sorry no thankyou Mr Robin !
As Eric used to say 'this boy's a fool'. SL has got it completely wrong this time. Lee is a dead man walking. Most fans I speak to have no faith in his ability and that won't change if we scrape by and stay up. We need someone we can all believe in if The Project is to move forward. Lee has no chance now of ever being that man imo.
We all know what happened three weeks later after SL said something similar http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35151703
We couldn't do it as SCMP, applicable in League One allows only 60% of turnover to be spent on players wages. FFP is applicable in the Championship and allows clubs to make losses of £13million (is that correct chaps? I know it was a year or so ago)
I heard the SL/GT interview. SL said the majority of fans still back LJ. I'm sorry he's totally lost the plot. We're stuck with Junior and the horrible rancour that most likely will manifest itself next Tuesday evening.
Agree with Warnock and can see your point about Pardew, but it wasn't that so long ago he was plying his trade against the sags. Where was Benitez this time just over a year ago? Now he's traveling to Burton Albion. You got some of the worlds top names on a boat to China for ridiculous money. Everyone has a price and Pardew if SL wanted him, has a price. He's also pretty spent in terms of good will in EPL, his next job is likely to be Championship I think. Not saying I want him. But don't think he's ungettable.
As much as I think change is the only answer, SL has laid his cards on the table and showed his support to LJ- Whatever his reasons, getting behind the team is vital now-Happy to play my part, but my patience will only go so far
But we all get behind the team! Every game, we all cheer and clap when they come out. But he's clearly blind that the players don't want to play for this bloke. As Forest sounded worse than everything. How can we support players who aren't interested in winning. That's Happy clapping.
Either Lansdown is not aware how bad it is,or blindly he is brushing this under the carpet. But tonight's interview on TV was a man not showing concerns outwardly. Very strange. Rumours are Steve Cotterill is still on the payroll, what about giving him the roll with this quality bunch to keep us up. Surly cannot be any worse than Johnson.
TBH what did you expect SL to say? LJ is a ****e manager, I know the normal fans and Redprint want him out, and I think we ought to sack him? Or do you not think behind closed doors he's seething and saying to LJ you better show some bollocks and get a win on Saturday I don't give a **** about free weeks etc. The one thing about SL that is a constant is normally before the axe falls he does these sort of interviews and declares his loyalty to the manager just like three weeks before Cotts got fired with statement. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35151703 All this bollocks about yes men I have been reading is that just bollocks. Most if not all successful business men want their under study's to stand up to them, they may not listen but they want to be challenged. It's mainly about the way you challenge them. If you are like NP then it's a no no, but if it's constructed correctly then they like it. If they employ yes men they know they are weak and know in this world they will be walked over. LJ is not HIS son so don't owe him anything and he sacked / mutually fired LJ's dad. He's proved that if things are not right he will boot them out the door.
