Predictably tedious and dull I for one rate Brian Clough as the greatest ever manager of a British football team. Didn't buy success like some have - built a team, played to their strengths and had some amazing characters in the side. Only Ranieri has ever done anything that comes remotely close in that regard IMHO. Clough managed to do it and sustain it for a prolonged period and that will be the big difference. Forest had, in footballing terms, a relatively short time as a power in the English game and like Leeds Unitted and indeed Villa, you have to wonder whether they will ever have such success again? In terms of potential, Leicester is the biggest city in the East Midlands, population wise, plus we only have one football team in the county boundary. If you want to go purely on trophies then we will not eclipse Forest... but neither will Spurs eclipse Arsenal.... but so what?. If I wanted to support a 'Big Club' I could have chosen to support United or Liverpool like many do ... but in doing so I'm certain I would not have experienced anywhere near the same absolute elation at watching them win a title ...I'm not from Manchester or Liverpool after all... Even fleas have fleas ... United may be the big fish domestically but are unlikely to ever be as big as Real Madrid or Barcelona in a European and World club context ... but never say never.... if we all accepted the satus quo life would be dull.
Grow up you nob ... oh well.... What's that coming over the hill, is it a Black Cat? ... No it's a sad twat . Now please try harder and put some invention in it
Until your last paragraph which was obviously for a Fosse bite, I do agree. It doesn't make them a 'good club' now though, they are a shambles but you can't take the trophies away which is actually the point I anyway would make about us now. Nobody can take away last season.
He's a real Sunderland fan .... but he's been very quiet about Leicester City for a good 12 months (I wonder why .... he had real issues with us when we started our miraculous escape and looked like we might be condemning his bunch .... he's just back to form
I think I remember having a run in with him when he was being a gobby twat before the first game of last season. Most fans of similar sized clubs have been gracious towards us believing it makes anything possible for their own but there's some exceptions...
Bloody hell mate all I did was say Nottingham Forest are the biggest club in East Midlands. All you needed to do was say you agree not write a fcking dissertation on it Fwiw I agree with a lot of what you say although I don't think the size of the city matters where the size of the club is concerned. Also disagree with the Barca comparison as they've only recently overtaken United in the CL so no reason why it can't be reversed. AC Milan would be a far better comparison.
AC Milan are like Liverpool ... yesterday's man ... Barca are likely to be challenging for the UCL for many years to come... and with all due respect I don't see you reversing anything with them any time soon.... shudder to think what they might do to your current defence. ... more so if they come up against ours right now.
Owned him nice, but don't expect Fosse to take it on the chin. He's been strangling himself with his cardigan since this morning when all I did was mention Leicester as a matter of fact, nothing more, nothing less. P.s you don't need any qualification to start the thread even if you had. Top thread.
I think it shows how quickly things can change. Barca had just 2 european cups for decades iirc and then suddenly win 3 more in quick succession. AC Milan are a great club. The history is unreal. 25 years ago they were the Barca of their day... and up until 10 years ago they were the giants of Europe. And now they're struggling (although doing well this season). Once again shows how quickly things can change.
Yep, he completely side stepped the fact he had egg on his face and carried on breaking his heart to everybody that is reading the thread
