Heard on the radio that the FA are going to decide whether to cancel the Premier League opening fixtures this weekend due to the pissing riots and not having enough police ? Is this likely ?

It would only be London, Manchester and Birmingham based matches it would effect, would be pointless

There will only be riots in Newcastle IF the game is canceled.

Does anyone reckon they'll postpone our match if it's the only one left? As in, all the others are so mays well postpone this one too so everyone is still on level pegging.

I dont see why any should be postponed to be honest. The riots are happening at night, like after 8 or 9 pm when all the football's finished.

I reckon there is every chance they will , i really do have that feeling , especially as the Mancs and Bin Dippers are at it . The police really cant afford to have anything else happen now because they will not cope.

    I'm with you!

Apparently Millwall and West Ham joined up yesterday to give the looters a bit of grief.

Saw the pictures of the football fans patrolling the streets looking to stop riots. Amazing what people can do when they have a common cause.

Ah that sounds a little more believable haha , West Ham and Millwall would start a whole other , even more violent riot.

It's a absolute disgrace if they do! The matches should go ahead as normal in non-riot areas (like here) and the London (and other riot city's matches) matches should be played behind closed doors if they don't have enough police to play them normally. The premier league is far more important than a few inbred 'gangsters' who fancy a new TV!
