It was a foul, we got a free kick. He challengd for the ball and missed it because Mason got there first. Cahill was second to the ball, therefore late.

 

Would have thought it was a drop ball as the ref stopped play for an injury.

 

It probably would have been a red card if he flew in with his feet in a similar manner to be fair.

 

...and acrobatic.

 

Guess it's a good thing he didn't fly in with his feet.

 

I think the point he's making is why is it ok to lunge into a challenge with your head when you'd get sent off for doing it with your feet...

 

Probably because when the ball is in the air that's all you can do. And you don't wear helmets with spikes on them in games.

 

So a flying head butt can't be reckless, dangerous and cause horrific injury?

Cahill is to blame , who else did it ? Blame doesn't apportion intent. I never said there was intent or malice. I just asked the question was it reckless ? Some posters think not others do.
