Sorry, mine is self explanatory and just boring. However, where are Bluescull, FormerLlanederynBoy (FLB to his mates - I know he went to work in Budapest and posted occasionally but haven't seen him on this site) and the guy who occasionally joined us at the Insole who went to join the navy or airforce (not sure which), can't recall his title?
Bluescull has registered on here and he has been looking in - I've seen his name coming up as a thread-viewer. FLB does not appeared to have resurfaced since he was last heard of in Budapest, and the poster who was trying to get into the RAF was Atreyu.
On the old 606 I used Sweetbluefootballfan initially, I then cut it back to SBFF towards the end on there and use that on here now. Pretty boring I guess, but there it is.
My name comes from the fact that when I first logged in to the old 606 a few years back I was living in Ealing (live just up the road now thank God after Monday nights riots) and um... well the ayatollah being a uniquely City thing. Remember being about 11 or so going to Shrewsbury (i think?!) match when we won the old third division with a towel on me head and a dodgy fake beard and loads of others doing the same or being in fancy dress - there was a fred flinstone amongst others, and it had a profound effect on me!
Like Blue from bridgend mine is I'm afraid pretty boring. Stuck down in this part of west wales for a while now. Would love to get back nearer Cardiff. One Day
I lived in Ealing for a while...and it was a bit of a shock when it kicked off there, but after a little thought I recalled some of the other 'elements' that live around there and it all made a bit more sense...very poor excuses for a human, the lot of them!
JH are my initials and 1980 is my birth year. I wish in retrospect I had thought of something more original/amusing but I've been using the monicker on various messageboards since 2005, so, yeah... I might have a think about a new name if I ever achieve posting notoriety here...
Atreyu (Ross) sometimes pops up on facebook, he had no luck with the RAF, and was going to have to wait to resit the entrance exams, but in the meantime was trying for the Fleet Air Arm, snowed under with studying, I think he has not bothered registering for not606 so he can't be tempted into posting when he should be working, he still tries to get to as many games as he can though The Navy Guy was/is Plymouth Bluebird, I know he went to Iraq, for a tour, he then was back for a while but I think he may be on another tour now
Being over the bridge i tried to get a username from this side but all were taken ie: Bradleystoke bluebird (where is he anyway) bristolbluebird on the old bbc 606 So went with the name of the company i work for ( now thats boring )
Sorry Mr Sparkey sir, but that would imply that a young lady was willing to.............................. Nope sorry can't even type it! It's best left to the imagination or the late night board. As for my name. I was Clarkie_No8 on 606 but retired the name after my hero passed away. Now I'm Heaton Mess for no other reason than that's all I could think of. (nothing to do with my lack of confidence in our goalies)
Left Belfast 1972 and moved to Reading with work where I followed the Royals (only a little !) but spent most of my Saturday's at White Hart Lane watch the Spurs with my uncle who is still a lifelong fan. The first match I went to was Spurs v Wolves in the Inter Cities Fairs Cup Final as it was then. Spurs drew on the night but had won 2-1 in the first leg so lifted the trophy. I was asked to move to Cardiff (again with work) in 1979 and before I moved I was given tickets to a Cardiff v Hereford match when both teams were near the top of the old Division 2 I think (might be wrong on that!). Anyway the City won 2-0 and there were 34,000 at Ninian Park that night. I was hooked and when I moved down I started following the Bluebirds. Seen all the highs and lows and hope to see my team in the Premier League...SOON! The "Irish Bluebird" name is self explanatory, I think!
'Quo Vadis?' is what Jesus said to St Peter on the Appian Way as he was heading out of Rome. It means 'Where goest though?' or 'where are you going?' I use it on various forums because I think it's apt, and apart from that is quite a cool nick...well I think so anyway!
