Nothing, only that he wasn't at training and Burnley have bid, same as everyone else. Though I've just seen someone claiming that he was at the training ground this morning, he just stayed inside and didn't train with the other lads.
Somehow I doubt Silva wants rid of Snodgrass, but if he does, I would seriously lose faith in his abilities early on.
I have a feeling it was MS who gave the thumbs up to Jake going, just feel he would not take any **** from knobhead jnr or he'd be off.
I honestly don't see Snodgrass leaving. Like I said earlier I think it's simply a case of Silva letting a player go in a position he feels we have adequate cover in and then using the money to buy players in positions we don't have adequate cover in. I will give MS my trust and faith to put his ideas and players on the football pitch and will reserve judgement on him until May!
I doubt he wants rid of anyone in an ideal world. It's not the same however when you have to sell players in order to buy what you think will help the team the most.
Think £10m is a decent wedge for Livermore, in normal circumstances anyway. I wonder about the wisdom of it with squad the size of ours. I'm sure he could be adequately replaced but maybe we put ourselves under unnecessary pressure in the process? Snodgrass is much more disappointing - if it happens. Our best player this year, someone with proven quality who can make a difference in the PL. To lose both would result in a mad scramble we could do to avoid, IMO. Also, getting a decent bit of money for a player is one thing, seeing it go back into the squad and not into the owners pockets is another. Interesting end to the window to come, could go either way.
I have that feeling also, I think he sees Mason and Hudd being a better pairing, Mason is more offensive than Jake, and he is an attack minded coach.
My only worry with snoddy is the medics may know more about his knee then we do? Is he only a twisted knee away from being f'cked? On present performances you'd be stupid ( I know the Allams ) to let him go!
Livermore was in the team though (and by that I include the subs) and he did come on. It may be someone becomes injured/ill and we play different teams each week, so different players suit different teams. It's just my opinion, I don't like to see British players leave, especially when our squad is as bare as it is.
I can't wait for the next home game and we go 1-0 down and those saying 10 million for Livermore is a good deal will spout up and complain we have no bite in midfield.
It will be a big shame to lose Jake, he has been one of our best performers for a few years, but if we are getting £10m up front for him I'd say that's a fair price. However, this is only worthwhile if MS is allowed to reinvest. Hypothetically, if £10m gets us a RB (vdw or olympiacos fella), emenike and perhaps a Gradel-like player, I'd have to say that's improved the squad. Snodgrass is an absolute no-go though. At more or less any price (unless silly China money)
interesting to see if there's any incoming in the next 24 hours or so, notice that the Dutch full back is being mentioned again on sky
