Snodgrass would be a loss no doubt but if replaced then so be it, Question though, would you rather have a player here who doesn't want to be here, or sell that player and buy a player of similar ability who does??
You can't buy a decent Championship midfielder for £10m. So selling a Premier League one for £10m knowing the buying club were a) desperate and b) had close to £20m to spend is INCREDIBLY foolish.
I'd say that Livermore is a decent championship midfielder. West Brom fans are going to be incredibly disappointed when they realise James Morrison is actually better than Jake.
This. If it's true Snodgrass is off too then we're ****ed. Livermore I could understand (although paying £13m for Mason & getting £10m for Livermore is **** business), but Snodgrass is indispensable. People saying, "as long as we replace him", as if we can easily replace a player with 7 goals & 3 assists in half a Premier League season. He's the most effective player we've ever had in the top flight and we might flog him for £7.5m? He's scored or assisted half of all our goals.
If? Do you honestly think Evandro wasn't signed to replace him? Edit - I can't believe the amount of people saying 'if we replace Snodgrass...'
I'd say he's probably better at centre half then he is in the middle of the park, I'll give you that. However, he's not a 10 million pound centre half, or a 10 million pound centre midfielder. If I were West Brom, I wouldn't pay over 5/6 million for Livermore. Edit: Infact, I wouldn't buy him at all.
I cant see how he'll get into their team. I'd be surprised if he didn't 'do a Chester'* and he really doesn't deserve that. * I don't mean be located close to Wales and have a teen soap based in him. I meant James.
I'd of saved West Brom 10 million quid that's for sure, and in a couple of years time they'll be wishing I did.
can't really compare can you, this guy 30 and been at about 36 different clubs regardless i hope he does well, but what are we going to do with the money from the sales? if silva keeps us up, it'll be one of the best managerial achievements ever imo
Snodgrass is the big one. We lose him we have no hope. His set prices are worth 10 million alone never mind his football ability. Typical Ehab says we are not a selling club the does this. Get this despicable **** out of my club. He is rotten to the core. I had hope after last week. No I am flat. Ramp the protests up!
Not a selling club doesn't mean, we don't sell for any price, clearly. Every player has his price and Livermore for 10 million is a ****ing good deal for us.
Whoever is excited about the fact we might replace him will be disappointed when the transfer window shuts.
Why is it so difficult to understand what is meant by we're not a selling club? Are people really that stupid?
