Only Long could miss a header from one yard.

When we watch Virgil lift the FA Cup, we will all laugh about tonight. :)

Dont think I've ever been so glad to score ... **** me, that was turgid.

I mean, we played well enough, we absolutely battered them but it was so ****ing frustrating time after time after time of not taking our chances.

And puel uses the word 'unlucky ' again in his post match interval. Can we keep a tally of how many times luck plays a big factor in his opinion?!

I've mentioned it as has FLT, that a motto of mine is I'd rather be lucky than good. Unfortunately at the moment we are neither.

I think we've been lucky in around 40% of matches, unlucky in 50% and good in 10%. If only we were lucky 90% of the time we would title challengers!

Well I think to a certain point he's right. We could have had a lucky deflection or lucky bounce, but I'd love a midfielder who would hit one a la Coutinho or Eriksen and work their keeper!

Think Puel was just glad to get through in normal time. He must be fed up with saying that we didn't convert chances....perhaps he could just use flash cards.

Am I right in thinking that, this season at any rate, The team with Maya as captain has a 100% record and is yet to concede a goal?

At least he couldn't talk about interesting possibilities.

We get as much luck as anyone else, except that 90% of it is bad luck, we are in deficit on that front, it must change for the better eventually, the sooner the better.

He may have had the armband on, but JWP was doing all of the talking and organising!

I find it hard to believe that luck is featuring so heavily this season when the game is based on skill tactics and teamwork.

Football is funny isn't it? I mean I had a work do tonight and got back to see we got through 1-0 in a sticky tie with essentially a reserve team, but by all accounts it was the worst game ever.

Fair enough, but did it, we won. We're through. Onwards.

It was a poor game, but that can't be down to Mr Puel this time, the opposition had no desire to win, no intention to play any football, just a blocking, holding action in the hope it would go to penalties. It took a moment of brilliance from Sam Mac to create the winner, we had 63% possession, 19 attempts, 10 on target, against 3 attempts, none on target. I thought Jon Moss was going to boot it in to the net at one stage, just to put us out of our misery.

Pretty spot on that....Long and J Rod, their movement, interchanging, making runs whatever you want to call it is crap. Which I think causes us to pass backwards, sideways....boring!!! Both lack physicality, Long hits the deck as soon as he's touched, he didn't have a good game tonight. Crying out for a SRL...who would of buried a poor Norwich side out of sight tonight.
Agree Sam McQueen was our best player tonight, Maya rock solid and Stephens did nothing wrong though poor opposition. Sims did quite well, only player with McQueen who tried to go round players until Redmond came on.

Yeah exactly. I mean I totally bow to the knowledge of those there and stuff - I know how frustrating it is when people who hear a snippet on the radio make some kind of general judgement. Reality is though, ugly and ****e though it may be, the bottom line is - job done.
