The echo combined liverpool utd team is out

Best XI: De Gea; Clyne, Bailly, Lovren, Milner; Carrick, Pogba, Coutinho, Lallana, Mane; Ibrahimovic.

Best bench: Romero, Blind, Matip, Henderson, Herrera, Firmino, Mkhitaryan, Sturridge.

    agree... I don't for one.

    my best xi is

    Degea
    Clyne Matip Bailly Shaw
    Mkhitaryan Carrick Lallana
    Mane Ibrahimovic Coutinho

Bench: VERY few LFC players But mingolet not romero, Blind is versitile, herrera is very good but not a DM, Mata is a really really good player, rashford is a fine talent, martial for pace. milner for the hell of it

So thats 5 LFc players in first 11. RB is easy cos utd don't have a decent one. Matip IMO is our best cb by a mile. I have gone for klopp's system so lallana and mkhitaryan would be awesome in this. Mane for pace. zlatan for just his ego. coutinho for work and goals.

The fact is i'd not put pogba within a mile of it.

    De gea
    Clyne Matip Baily Milner
    Herrera Hendo Lallana
    Mane Firm Cout

if Klopp was manager that'd be my team as Herrera fits well with the pressing and energy levels, something pogba and Ibra wouldn't do well.

henri Ryan and Mane is a close one but manes pace wins it.

I agree more with this one

MITO and the Echo vastly underrate the importance of our Wij-Hen-Lal midfield

I wouldn't swap Herrera (doesn't turn up in big games) with Wijnaldum (Man City winner) but that's the closest Man Utd have to getting a midfielder in the team

Mkhitaryan is the player klopp described as would fit like an arse on a bucket to dortmund. he would be better than wijnaludm for us. thats the first 11. and then herrera is more flexible than wijnaludm on the bench.

    simple.

Carrick is a hard pick. he is bloody ancient. but... well...

Hes not a Cm though. He's a wide right player so compete with Mane.

You could ask him him to do similar to Lallana but don't think he offers you same work rate in a CM role as Lallana does.

It's good they are back.... IF they are back

    Klopp on Cout and Hendo
sounds like they are both back. Inagine Cout will start given his run out against saints Hendo maybe from the bench?

Agree that it should be more balanced that the Echo and Souness on Sky who had 7 LFC players and the entire back four and most of the midfield as LFC players. Surely Souness is trying to curry favour with us Liverpool fans :bandit:

The crunch will be which team will function better as a unit rather than who has the star players? We might come on top on that basis.

the summary as that all i'm allowed post is:

We have to go there and line up and be ready for all the challenges in the game. That is important. We try everything we need to make the difference.

Of course, we are excited about the opportunity to go there and play our best. Both teams are on a good run long term, and United have less injury problems.

You can feel good before the game. We realise before the game that we are Liverpool and we need to show this. Everyone who wants to see a real fight for game, then yes, watch it. It will be 100% from our side.”

all the rest was just bolloxology

<laugh> Mourinho thinks he's more calm than Klopp

"He wants to play the game as much as I want, I am not sure if he is so calm as I am."

Klopp is passionate because he loves the game but he's calm when it comes to having things in perspective. Mourinho just hates to lose so when things don't go his way he often physically or verbally abuses people which is not being calm <ok>

I think everyone forgets that utd desperately needs the win here.

a draw is not that good for them if they want to get to cheslea. its ok for top 4 though

I pray to the football gods that so viciously gave us the slip that one of the most horrendously bad decisions goes in our favour and that Mourihnio has a melt down ! I would love it...

But it won't and we won't

TBH I just hope we don't embarrass ourselves a defeat is not the end of the world (makes my week at work unbearable like :( ). Also hope it's a good game not like the drab affair at our place.
That said if we lose I am holiday for next few weeks #canttakeanymore :)

    What a gesture this is.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan who has won December's Premier League goal of the month with his scorpion kick, has shared his award with Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery.

The five-year-old, who is seriously ill with neuroblastoma, was named joint-winner of Match of the Day's Goal of the Month award after his penalty against Chelsea in December.

    You can watch that below...

Seriously ill Bradley wins goal of the month on Match of the Day

Klopp is more crazy and passionate. Maureeb likes to think he's calm but instead he's just a sore loser and a bad winner. He's basically a massive ****.
