Very fair, their game plan was very well executed and they gave everything tonight.

I thought you were lucky to escape from there only 1 down.

Ironic that the much maligned Karius was the difference between a not too bad result and a decisive one.

Knee jerk maybe but I'm on the brink of giving up on Can.

No way he should be given the 'still returning to match fitness/sharpness' nonsense, been back for ****ing ages.

He has been awful of late, but tonight just took the ****ing piss. Stewart genuinely would have done a lot better.

Nope the team in 6th has all the #worldclass players and staff, we just have excellent ones

Bravo and De Gea made as many mistakes as Karius this season but the closer to the top you are the more exaggerated the criticism

Maybe going out could be a good thing, do you really need an extra game at this stage of the season?
All that high press, coked up greyhound stuff seems to have taken a lot out of your players (a good pre-season would help that), perhaps you need fewer games at this point to try and keep in the top 4 a while longer.

30 Nov 2016 - Ashley Fletcher has drawn West Ham level against Manchester United thanks to an awful mistake from David De Gea.

    Oct. 23 2016: Chelsea 4-0 Manchester United

United manager Jose Mourinho was returning to Stamford Bridge for the first time since being sacked by Chelsea last season but his gameplan went out of the window as a defensive mix-up led to De Gea racing out and being rounded by Pedro, who scored. Without mentioning individuals, Mourinho reflected after the game on that first goal and said that there were "incredible defensive mistakes" as he was humiliated by his former club.

Oct. 2, 2016: Manchester United 1-1 Stoke City

De Gea fumbled an effort by Glen Johnson, which was to prove costly, as Joe Allen tapped in after Jon Walters sent a follow-up strike against the bar. It meant that struggling Stoke got a draw at Old Trafford and United threw away a lead. The angry reaction of the Spaniard was revealing and he took to Twitter after the game to admit that it had been an "upsetting result."

    June 27, 2016: Italy 2-0 Spain

Spain had not conceded a goal in 16 years of knockout-round games at the European Championship but that run ended when De Gea failed to successfully divert Eder's free kick, gifting Giorgio Chiellini the game's opening goal. It was even more galling because De Gea made a series of impressive saves during the game to keep Antonio Conte's Italy at bay, but that hard work was undone.

    June 21, 2016: Croatia 2-1 Spain

Spain had been on course for top spot in their Euro 2016 group but that slipped from their fingertips, and set up that tricky tie against Italy, after a missed Sergio Ramos penalty was compounded by De Gea's late mistake. He let an 87th-minute strike from Ivan Perisic beat him at the near post and manager Vicente Del Bosque was forced to defend his goalkeeper amid media criticism.

    Dec. 12 2015: Bournemouth 2-1 Manchester United

De Gea was beaten directly from a corner by Junior Stanislas in only the second minute when he was caught out by a swirling delivery. It was the last thing United needed, four days after a Champions League exit and following successive league draws that had seen them drop to fourth. The Bournemouth game sparked off a horror run in which they lost three straight games, also succumbing to unfancied Norwich and Stoke.

Klopp has been vindicated on Karius. Top GK who saved our skin tonight. Without him we would have been out of the tie. 3-0 at least.

Poor poor game tonight. So many awful performances. Can was dreadful, sturridge was virtually invisible. Coutinho hardly had an impact but he can be excused for not being match fit.

We need to hope that they didn't give 100% and kept something in reserve for Sunday.

He reminds me of Shelvey. Always seeing glimpses of promise but ultimately left feeling disappointed after almost every performance
