Took until Coutinho came on for Lallana and Sturridge to get the ball in forward positions and even then it was poor. Clyne was awful tonight at both ends. Really slowed play up when he got it. Firmino barely had the ball in threatening areas... but had our two best (only?) chances and at least tried to press. Shows we're desperate for pace without Mane and still have no genuine ability in midfield. We played three "hard workers" there tonight.
Defensively, that was a shambolic performance. Can and Gini offered nothing, Lucas was a doorman to the back 4. And the entire back line made mistakes. Clyne and Milner must be knackered so I can understand their tired performances.
