Literally words fail me. Each to their own and all but let's be happy and believe we will win the second leg...
Saints played well. Romeu is fast becoming one of my favourite saints player, shows so much passion and hunger to win.
Always nice to beat Liverpool, even if it should've been by more. Maybe it was just Fonte that's been letting our side down the past few weeks...
Excellent result, thought Romeou was stand out today, but all the team were excellent, special mention for Yoshi, looked assured.Thought J Rod put a great shift in. All looking quite positive for the second leg and a big boost for us fans. Well done team & well done team and extra shooting practice for Redders tomorrow
Despite his notable misses, Redmond had a good game, he looked like a player with a point to prove. Our defence, once with first choice full backs, showed it's not that shabby after all. Both Clasie and Davis played well, and Yoshida was impeccable in the defence.
Nathan says he's not happy with the result because he could've scored a hat-trick and taken us out of sight.
That's the a good attitude to have. Keep improving. Don't worry Nathan, it'll be worth it even more in front of the kop.
Definitely not, but many of us were feeling we'd get battered in the first leg, so we can cross that road when we come to it. A goal, a clean sheet and an excellent performance is a massive step. If we had scored 3 we would only worry we would take it easier at Anfield and then if they scored once we'd crumble!
Le Tiss says Claude's decision to play Maya was correct. Said he's not really been a big fan of Yoshida but thinks he's been excellent this season.
A magnificent result. Yes there should have been more goals, but it was fantastic to see passionate, fighting team spirit. The second leg is a different game and we'll deal with that when it comes. For now, enjoy this one.
Matt Le toss saying the ref was poor, decisions going against Saints. Every time a Pool player went down in the first half it was a foul and we got nowt all that first half - strange
Been quiet tonight, doing various bits and bobs, with Radio 5 Live in the background. Steve Claridge summing up very accurately, in my opinion. Remarkably, they've been talking about Saints a lot. More than Liverpool.! Yes, sorry about that. Get up off the floor and read on. The concentration on Saints was down to a fairly knowledgable Saints fan on the phone and Claridge keeping the subject on us. Doesn't half make a change. 'Chappers' had to change the subject.
Also one big sour note which almost brought me to blows with a fellow Saint. Not proud of that, and not normally me, but he was a grade A twat. Infact a lot of Saints fans disappointed me tonight. Like I say a real sour note. But, again, more later.
