So fantastic hearing the fans singing but the booing of Lovren just sounds so immature,

Too many missed chances tonight, should've been 3 or 4.... am I the only one feeling like those missed chances might cost us next leg?

I think the team deserve credit tonight. Could've been better but they did us proud.

 

I do worry if one goal will be enough, but well bloody done Saints. Showed a fair bit of character there. Same again in the second leg.

 

They will undoubtedly cost us. Shame - as we quite justifiably deserved to win by a few more. Can't grumble at a win, but I'm not sure how useful it is really.

Best performance of the year? Certainly up there. Still the 'if only' with the missed chances though.

 

Great performance, is 1 goal enough? Maybe? But it gives us a real chance now, get a goal anfield and you never no.

Way the press were talking before the game it was all over already. So at the very least we are making it a game.

Tadic was the only player I would say played poorly.

Get in boys, makes them have to take the game to us. Anything is possible. Should we have had more? Yes, but, it's a win. We have three games in between to pick up some form as that win would have done wonders for morale. I believe.

 

My thoughts exactly. But at least we haven't conceded, which gives us a possible advantage of the away goal (does that rule apply to this competition?)

 

Could definitely suggest we should've got an even better result, but given how many complaints about performance there have been, that was an excellent one. Got to be very happy with that.

J-Rod no longer being carried by the team as he plays his way back either, contributing well in all areas.

 

We really don't have the luck of the rub at the moment do we? How that wasn't a 3-0 I have nooooo idea. Lot of respect for Redmond, he played brilliantly and we looked dangerous for the first time in weeks.
