Can;'t speak for everyone, but I just can't afford to go to any extras this month. I'd love to be there though.
We don't make things easier for ourselves do we?! As he has played well so far this season it seems madness not to include him in the squad.
If ever a post summed up the greed of players and agents it is this - driving fans away from the game because they cannot afford it. Congratulations on that new £70K a week mr prem star and stuff the fans who miss out because of it. I've only been to a few games during the past couple of seasons for this very reason. Doesn't make me any less passionate about the Saints.
Anyone fancy a game of "Spot the Gardos" or "Spot the Isgrove"? They're alive!!! https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017...-pre-southampton-liverpool-efl-cup-semi-final
Not a dig at anyone personnally just that with the fanbase we have then we should be selling this out easily at a score a ticket.
Seven games in the last month, on top of Europa, the time of the year when people have the least money when the country is in turmoil, our club captain is not playing and we have not won a game since 11th December. I guess a combination of these things.
Or people think we're going to get tonked so can't be arsed? No excuses for me(not for individuals but on the whole if we fail to sell out).
And yet every few months, someone feels the need to discuss expanding the stadium. For some totally unknown reason. We're a million miles away from that need yet. If you can't sell out your biggest cup game for 14 years, at £20 each... (I am a little disappointed at the club though for feeling the need to charge £12 rather than £10 for the Norwich replay)
I haven't checked for a while and you can't get a figure anyway but you can gauge how close it is if you go to buy a ticket on the website and get the map up. It says whether each block is unavailable, nearly sold out, limited etc.
The very lovely Mrs Godders raided the housekeeping tin so we are going but we may look a little lean and hungry if you see us. Perhaps you can bring a sandwich or two to tide us over until we next draw our pension. You'll recognise us for we will be the ones with the patched clothes and the darned socks.
I am relieved that Fonte is not playing. What a terrible night it would be if he gave away a penalty or got a red card. I have no doubt that he is a great professional (Wouldn't recommend any professional risk a career ending injury to prevent a goal) so no worries about his attitude. It's just events and the booing which would follow any incident would be the saddest of endings. He's been a great defender and Captain, at a time when others were bailing out right, left and centre. I hope that he gets the move he wants and we find another defender pronto.
Absolutely right. I had a disgreement once with a family member down in Soton. United had turned out a team of programme sellers and cleaners in a League Cup tie to play Coventry and got done, 3-0 I think. My relative insisted that the ground would have been half empty. We checked. The place was full. I know a lot of the faithful had given it a miss, but cut price tickets to see United are snapped up. If there was this latent interest I keep being told is there, the usual suspects places would be snapped up at £20. It doesn't exist. Please stop talking about expansion!
So, as expected, JK has said he will be putting out his strongest team on Weds. Woodburn goes on the backburner unfortunately. But fear not, this is not the same team ripping others to shreads a short time ago. With Mane missing, Coutinho short of match fitness, Flamingo still searching for his stolen passport so he can get the hell out of Liverpool there's not as much to fear. Start at a furious pace, let Oriol welcome Adam with an early challenge for the ball, and let the roar from the crowd do the rest. We may not progress to the final, but lets not lose our St Marys game. Come On!
