The previous 3 failed largely due to one man I'm afraid. Fortunately, he's not calling the shots this time around. Moving to the docks won't be a piece of cake, but there appears to be the collective will to make it happen, and this time we've got someone who can sort the funding.
I think it's announcement is still some way off. If it has already been purchased, or whatever the claims were back in August, are you not worried that it's still only being spoken about as the preferred option?
Given our history with stadium projects I won't be counting any chickens until the spades go in the ground mate. I was told (by 2 different sources) that the deal to purchase the land - subject to planning - was done in mid August, so in some ways I'm surprised at the lack of info coming out of the club, but equally can maybe understand why, as there'll be a whole host of hoops to jump through in order to get this project off the ground. Therefore if they did formally announce they had the land option, then the fanbase would consider it done, when the reality is that this is a much more complex project than say building on a brown field site, and therefore there's a number of issues that could still potentially de-rail it. They won't want egg on their faces over yet another failed stadium plan, so they probably want to get this to the point of a formal planning application before giving out the full details.
So Watford's form dropped away drastically and you managed to see them off. Well done on the #ambition But you're still closer to them in 14th than you are to 6th #progress
I don't know how long planning permission takes mate but you'd think if money actually changed hands then there's more than a good chance that it's a viable site. I'm not sure you blues will believe it's done as you say given your history I guess most have a believe it when I see it attitude now. Just need to hope Moshiri is long on patience
I think Mosh has got the patience - I am certain that Mr Kenwright fully looked at this guy before he did business with him. He has had enough chances to move the club on in the past . He old school and wants best for the club. I think the docks would be amazing as a site - will miss the ground being opposite through the park though The drawings that have been put on here look fantastic.
Koeman hasn't though According to all the reporters he is #raging at Moshiri for being slow at transfers His first season is already #seasonover and he doesn't plan to be at the club by the time the dock is even filled in He doesn't give a **** about stadium plans but was promised funds to demonstrate he's good enough to get a move to a #bigclub He also slammed Walsh twice about his need to produce results not just spunk money on kids for the future
I think it may just be a bit of posturing from Koeman. He surely knew he was going to Everton not Chelsea i.e. loadsadosh. Don't think their fans expect him to be around too long either given his history so far so no surprises awaiting there. As for Walsh he doesn't have a reputation for buying young talent does he?
Apparently Koeman is threatening to throw his toys out of the pram after they blew £11m on a player from Charlton but are delaying his number one target over a few million.
You will never have that problem with Klopp, he is a yes man who will spend nothing despite having no players beyond his first 11, who incidentally, look blown out after half a season due to the mad greyhound chase he puts them on.
Man Utd's players certainly put no effort into the first half of the season, so #noexcuses for a #worldclass manager with a #worldclass keeper, #worldclass midfielder and #worldclass striker not to finish above us
Your club has been falling over backwards to #excuse Mourinho from achieving anything for at least 2 more transfer windows
I must have missed that bit, nothing on the club web site about it. Unless you are talking about Jose saying he needs more transfer windows to get the team he wants which is vastly different than just finishing above Liverpool
This is the Koeman thread can you have your Man Utd meltdowns elsewhere please... Koeman and stadium meltdowns only please
