True I'd suggest the players would be absolutely ****ed by the time the 2nd leg came round though. I do think we do need to start seeing more consistency in the line up, particuarly up top as we're struggling. I don't see how we can do that this month though withoit risking injury etc. The only thing I'd say is instead of having every game as a mixture. I'd have a set 'strong' team and a set 'weak' team and simply prioritise what games are most important. Instead of trying to do a bit of both.
Can't really complain about team, how vvd is not knackered though I have no idea? It's how we managed to **** it with that team on paper. This is the game to NOT complain about rotation, we have proven that we cannot compete in 3 competitions. We have invested a lot in the EFL cup and should prioritise this above the FA cup.
Yes, but we have to give ourselves the best chance to get through by having our best side fresh and fit.
We looked good today (a tad safe with the sideways stuff at times), but we didn't look in danger. But that last minute goal will ask many questions of us once again. Lewis did well, bar one brain fart that led to a goal. That was a useful cup tie, and we have a replay now to host. I'd normally be annoyed, but right now more games does not seem to be the the biggest problem, perhaps we can play ourselves into some form or get so many injuries the same 11 have to start every game from now on. But one thing is for sure, moaning at the gaffer at every given chance is not going to help at all. He's dull & he's french, but today he's not to blame. And like it or not, he does have the boards backing.
Strongest possible team for Wednesday, if we get battered then repeat for Burnley and put out a second string for the Anfield game Conversely, if we win on Wednesday, rest on Saturday and strongest for Anfield
Best side? What's that then? I believe you are better placed to tell us, as I'm pretty sure the manager has no bloody clue what it is.

Hmm, tasty finishes from the CBs. Concentration departure for Naismith's goal.? He's demonstrated throughout his career that you can't leave him alone or he'll score. Virgil did a nice bout of chest thumping for his goal. Either he's got a bad case of indigestion or he likes playing for Saints.
Yep. Only thing they have to potentially play for is a EL qualifying place. And rather ironically, we could have a very big say in that: 1. If we beat them to 7th place, no Europe for them, or 2. If we win the league cup, no Europe for them, or 3. If we in the FA cup, no Europe for them.
May I suggest to any fan intending such a course of action to donate their ticket to someone who will get behind the team for the full 90 minutes as a way of helping the players to regain their confidence.
