My stepson has a windows 10 tablet which he doesn't use so I was going to use it. Is there a way of returning to factory settings or deleting his account on it? Also is it any good as he claims he can't do as much on it as he could if it was an iOS or Android tablet (his dad bought it not me).
Depends what you plan to use it for. If you're just wanting to surf the net, do a bit of social media and some streaming, then it should be fine - personally wouldn't want to be using it for office/excel/word etc, although powerful enough, I find tablets are not as ergonomic as a proper keyboard (although you can get an external keyboard for tablets if you wish).
I don't have a Windows 10 tablet, but my PC & laptop are both Windows 10 and I have to say I'm really impressed with it.
Go to Google.com Type:How to Return to factory settings ( of whatever tablet you have) Follow instructions!
volume up, home button, and power button last all at same time should bring you to a menu screen. Remember to press power button last.
I followed the video posted above and after 5 hours I thought it'd be finished so I turned it on and now I just get this message
Again without stating the bleeding obvious it has crashed during back-up. I can't find anything online regarding a crashed tablet, lots for laptops and PCs. The only thing I can suggest is take it to a local computer store to have Windows reinstalled, unless anyone on here has a solution. I feel responsible having posted the video.
Don't feel responsible, I probably did something wrong, If its any consolation it wasn't mine and I didn't pay for it lol.
Can you post up the make and model and I'll see what I can find out for you. It looks like the recovery application has attempted to recover the O/S to the wrong location. Can be cured without to much fuss if so.
